Alpha10 (789) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 15, 2015
2015/12/15 - Pours jet black with a thick, frothy, tan head that slowly reduce and leaves moderate lacing. Aroma is chocolate, light vanilla, coffee roast, licorice, chili peppers and light molasses. Taste starts with coffee roast and chocolate, followed by vanilla and licorice and finish with chili peppers and sweet molasses. Mouthfeel is heavy and slick with sharp carbonation. Finish is spicy, moderately sweet, dry and slightly warming. Really nice balance between sweet, spicy and bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Systembolaget, bought spring 2014. Dark brown with tan head. Sweet aroma with large notes of chocolate, chipotle, some roast and liquorice. Sweetish chocolate taste with dried peppers, liquorice and some light coffee. Mellow for the ABV. Well balanced. I’d like some more dry chili taste in there. Quite dry finish.

Incredibile!

Nice head, pours black. Aroma is chilli and vanilla, very pleasant. But what suprised me, is that you can really feel chilli mixed with chocolate in taste, what causes, that this beer is spicy. You can also feel chilli in aftertaste. Great!

Butelka 0.5L.
Wygląd: Czarne, niska, beżowa, drobnopęcherzykowa piana.
Aromat: Anyż, lukrecja, bardzo intensywne, wanilia, chili, wiśnia, kakao. Bardzo złożony, piękny aromat.
Odczucie: Pełne, gładkie, mocno piecze w gardło.
Smak: Anyżowe, ziołowe, pikantne, czekoladowe, lukrecja. Całość przechodzi ze słodkości lukrecji do pikantności chilli. Złożone.
Całość: Świetne piwo, bardzo nietypowe. Udana kombinacja smaków.

500ml bottle. Pours an insane amount of frothy creamy brownish head, quite thick. Has a very deep dark brown, pretty much pitch black. Lacing is fine. Aromas are a little bit smokey. Some chocolate and faint licorice hints. Flavours are a bit sweet at first with the chocolate and licorice notes as well as hints of coffee but has some pretty good spiced notes mainly in the finish. Nice warming sensation on the palate. Should’ve kept this one for the winter months.
