Aroma brings more expectations, than can be found on taste and palate: alcohol comes trough a bit too much even this is not so strong stuff. Otherwise a very good porter: Not too roasted, clear and malty taste with wide taste spectrum. thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - FEB 17, 2013

500 ml bottle. Black, with a thin tan head. Sweetish roasted malty aroma with milk chocolate and a whiff of coffee. The flavour has the same elements: syrupy sweetness, roasted malts, chocolate & coffee. Very nice.

Bottle. Pours almost black with a small brown head and only light carbonation. Taste is sweet, coffee, roasted malts and chocolate. Slightly bitter long-lasting aftertaste. Only medium body but smooth. A really good porter. josteroa (5) - Trondheim, NORWAY - JAN 29, 2013 does not count
Bottle from vinmonopolet. Dark colour with a nice beige head. Sweet roasty and coffe smell. Very roasty chocholaty taste with a somewhat bitter aftertaste which dissappears fast. Some very subtle alcohole notes in the end. anders37 (26137) - Malmö, SWEDEN - JAN 22, 2013
Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and caramel flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish. n0mel (250) - FINLAND - JAN 20, 2013
31.12.12. Bottle. Not much foam, light brown color though. The beer is black (surprise!). Aroma is a combination of coffee and caramel. Smooth stuff that I thoroughly enjoyed. tfredvik (1939) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 10, 2013
The body is black and nice, but the head ruins the visual impression of this beer. It’s actually quite large initially and looks rather creamy, but it isn’t very long-lived and it disappears completely and leaves only a few patches of film. The aroma is strong, unusual and frankly quite strange. Is this a secret Hornbeer/Loverbeer cooperation? First of all I get barnyard notes and additional leather. It’s not unpleasant, but the roasted barnyard took me by surprise. Also coffee notes. The taste is very light sweet and light sour with a long-lasting moderate plus bitter finish. The roasted flavours are also dominated by the sour barnyard stuff, also fermented apples, wood, smoke and coffee. Is it actually supposed to be like this, or is the bottle lightly infected? The mouthfeel is very nice, with a medium to full body and very soft carbonation. It feels very dry on the palate, especially in the finish. Strange stuff.
