COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Traditional Pale Ale brewed with malted Two-Row American malted barley and an inclusion of roasted caramel. Hopped Up ’n Horny is craft brewed using generous amounts of American Cascade Hops; both in a brew kettle and a dry hop in an aging tank. If you don’t get hopped up by this great ale, nothing will get your juices flowing.

No date, 0532 printed on the neck, I hope that doesn’t mean this is from the 53rd day of 2012.
Appearance: The body is a nice hue of amber, leaning lighter than some of the darker colored pale ales, with good clarity. The head is dense but on the short side, it settles to a thin coating and a rather thick ring.
Aroma: The aroma is very restrained with only a slight citrus hop presence and a light malt sweetness with a touch of caramel. It’s not offensive, but it doesn’t smell like much.
Taste: Much like the aroma this is very bland, perhaps a bit watery. Light caramel, some toasted presence, and a slight hop presence, but very bland, not bad, just bland.
Palate: Light bodied with good amounts of carbonation leaning a touch sharp.
Overall: This isn’t a bad beer, I say that fully disregarding the style. This would be a decent $5-$6 six pack for a light flavored and highly drinkable beer for a hot Summer day. Compared to other pale ales though this just falls flat.

Pours orange with white head, aroma is some floral and grassy hops. Taste up front is grass, pine, and floral hops with a slight bread malt base with a slightly bitter finish.

From notes. A standout apa. Loads of hops and a lot of roasted malt. I’ll drink this one again.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2012 Bottle. Weak for an IPA. The hop aroma is there, but something "off" as well. It’s bitter, yeah, but it’s missing something. No real depth. Easily drinkable, but nothing exciting.

Bottle on Amtrak Train 27 - The Empire Builder ( from Binny’s South Loop) - 04/11/12. Hazy orange/amber with a thin bubbly white head that soon forms a pond and moves to the edges. Nose of caramel malt, hops, a hint of pine, citrus note. Taste follows, a little orange and a touch of bitter grapefruit. Medium bodied with soft carbonation leading to a bitter finish. Pretty boring.

Pours a cloudy orange with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt and light earthy hops. Flavor of caramel/roasted malts with some herbal hops too.

Aroma is doughy with bread yeast and a touch of orange citrus. Taste is bready, with herbal and citrus hops. Palate is a bit light, but its just a pale ale, not a IPA. I could drink a few of these beers, but its nothing special.
