Bottle that I brought to Andy’s place. Pours a clear orange with a thin white head. Big pumpkin pie, vanilla and pie crust, very soft cinnamon. Lots of pumpkin - this actually tastes like pumpkin pie filling. Not just spices like most pumpkin beers taste like, but pumpkin flesh and spices. Lightly spicy bitterness on the end. Deep golden pour. The nose is a little bit spicy. A touch of cardamom and a little bit of almost creamy aroma. Lightly honeyish with a nice soft sweetness. A great balance of soft sweet malt and nice spiciness. Lightly cinnamon and nutmeg. Lingering sweet and spicy finish. Has a nice creamy palate. The Sampler, NYC tap: Pours orange with a white head. Aroma is a lot of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom, along with a nice helping of sweet malts. Taste is accordingly very spicy. Pumpkin spice is most powerful. There is little in the way of hops. I feel this is what mainstream pumpkin ales want to be, but are scared to be.

Bottle:   Orangish straw, a little fiery, fine sediment floats about, light carbonation, thin sudsy white head, sparce lacing.   Strong soapy fragrant floral and spicy nose.   Thankfully not urinal cake like, but pretty artificial.   Clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, with some cream cheese.   Actually kinda also reminds me of a Cinnabon, albeit a bit more autumn spiced like.   Its like a strong nutmeg cream cheese start, soapy floralness isn’t strong enough to distract.   Still remains artificial in that the spices are so strong, covering up whatevers underneath.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Spicy finish, lingering cinnamon, nutmeg, allspices, clove, and cream cheese cinnabon flavorings.   Damn, now I want a cinnabon.   Decent, but bordering on a little too much spiciness. ben4321 (6827) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - MAY 4, 2015

This is a pretty good example of the style. The pumpkin pie spices are prominent for sure here. Additionally, there are not a ton of pumpkin beers around Tap since it happens in April, so it made for a nice change of pace.

She pours a hazy bronze orange and leaves a slightly amber colored body with a slim half finger of a white foamy head that dies immediately. There is some light clingy lacing that sticks and does not spider web.
The aroma has a large amount of pumpkin up front, and then the cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and clove enter in to make it the typical pumpkin ale sort of aroma.
The taste has all of the previously noted aromas combine and give it a biscuity maltiness in the flavoring, not necessarily pumpkin pie like in "Pumking" but just comes across with the spices I already talked about just a tad stronger. There is a huge "pumpkin" spice aftertaste with a dry finish.
On the palate, she sits about a light to medium, comes across fairly sessionable, and the carbonation seems a bit sharper than most pumpkin ales I’ve had, but no worries still good for the most part.
Overall, for the most part, this is a pretty well done pumpkin ale that I would have again if it was available in my area. SHIG (4965) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - DEC 22, 2012

Poured a nice translucent orange with a small white head and minimal lacing. Aroma had plenty of pumpkin spices. Flavor had plenty of cinnimon spices upfront just like a pumpkin pie. Good stuff.
