Pours slightly hazy dark dark amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel, some sweetm malt. taste of mild roasted malt, caramel, toffee, mild alcohol in the finish.
Malty nose. The beer starts malty roasted, dried fruit, a bit dusty. Not too deep with dark malt, burned sugar. Nice and easy to drink but not too complex. kevnic2008 (11980) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - SEP 22, 2012
Mostly clear copper amber pour with a small white head. Aroma is a nice caramel malt. Taste is similar, with a hint of dark fruit. Nice. stevoj (4966) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUL 4, 2012
Nice surprise from this label, joint brewed by Hosl & Co and Ziegler Brau. Brownish, copper color with plentiful carbonation, fluffy head, leaving some stickt lacing on the glass.Nice, rich burnt, nutty flavor, not overpowering, and no lingering aftertaste. Very drinkable, would go nicely with a plate of wurst, red cabbage and home fries. Could easily drink several and not notice the 7.5 % ABV...be careful! mcdav2154 (449) - GERMANY - DEC 25, 2011
Clear brown body with a thin white head. Smell is of bread and copper. Taste is sweet malt on the front and a slight citric bite on the end. Nice on the palate. Not too thick or thin. Pretty good.

(bottle) Clear, dark amber colour with a diminishing slightly off-white frothy head. Profound caramel-malty aroma, slightly roasted with notes of chestnuts and bread. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Aromatic roast-malt character with caramel, bready notes and a tinge of molasses; sweet bready and caramelly finish with a light but balancing hoppy bitterness. Good one. 13.X.10 pivnizub (10571) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - OCT 16, 2010
Bottle: Clear, copper coloured, quickly collapsing off-white head; clean toasty-caramelly nose; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; lingering toasty-caramelly finish with a slighter bitterness in the aftertaste. Good and pleasant..... Ungstrup (37291) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - OCT 3, 2009
Bottled. A deep red beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and pumpernickle bread as well as lighter notes of alcohol, leading to a dry finish where the pumpernickle note lingers. Enjoyit (3809) - Vadum, DENMARK - JUL 23, 2009

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts malty and sweet, notes of liquorice. Modest alcoholic. Well balanced finish, still very sweet. Good beer!
