Seems and awfully light gold color for a Munich Helles and has no head retention, but looks can be deceiving. Lightly malt and grainy, pretty clean otherwise. Taste is pretty much the same but it also has a little green apple and hop flavor to it. It has a dry finish and clean aftertaste; Fairly bland for a Helles type of beer and not very exciting. Light bodied and has a prickly carbonation and dry a dry mouthfeel. Not a very exciting beer, about a half step above the American macro beers. jonas (8161) - Garching close to the monks, GERMANY - JUN 12, 2003
Standard Helles, balance tilts to the malty side, taste is bland and uninspiring. KingPinHead (390) - Des Moines, Washington, USA - APR 7, 2003
Aroma is light and hints at malt sweetness and grassy hoppiness...Color is standard lager yellow with fairly modest head and patchy lace...Malt sweetness and subdued hops and carbonation greet the palate. The finish is quite clean with very light hoppy reminders...Body is adequate, but the decent wave of initial flavors droop into obscurity rapidly, leaving little to keep this brew on its feet. Only constant sipping keeps the flavor mill going...The bottle is quite attractive at least. I'll keep that... guzzler (76) - AE, GERMANY - DEC 25, 2002
Frothy white head and clear yellow color. Sweet malty taste and no bitterness. rich42 (128) - USA - OCT 31, 2002
pale. main flavor is light malty sweetness. not much complexity. decent body. very little bitterness. seems well balanced. easy to drink and enjoyable if not very robust. it is however grossly overpriced.

Bottle. Straw gold moderate head and low conition. Enticing aromas of sweet malt and low hop aroma. Sweet malt dominated in the mouth and soft sweet and quaffable finish. Good Munich style helles. Ernest (7864) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 23, 2002
Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (light bread, toasted grain), lightly hoppy (herbs). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Very average at best German pilsener. Hardly any color with a head to match. Still better than a bud! Drew (2470) - Kent, Ohio, USA - SEP 14, 2002
Very pale yellow - and a pale flavor to match. body is thin and lightly malty. The first sip had a nice hop to it, but that faded quickly and did not return. mediocre. leaparsons (10809) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 26, 2002
One of the palest beers I have ever seen. Not much in the way of aroma. Nor taste for that matter. Refreshing, though. The finish is too short for my liking.
