From notes, at Bar Volo. Pours a nice hazy orange amber body with an off white head and some lace. Aroma of fruit, yeast and toasted malts. Flavour of Belgian yeast, slightly sweet malts and notes of spices.

Hazy, dirty straw colour. Thin head. Floral, dusty, and hints at some saisony yeast character. Sweetish, with light dusty yeasty accents. Sweetish finish.

Draft at volo. Slight haze, scant head. Sweet aroma, with some ripe caramelized pineapple. Sweet and almost sugary, but falls short of being cloying. Alcohol dries the finish. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A bright yellow body with a bit of off-white bubbles, enjoyed on tap at Bar Volo. Mildly funky aroma. A tad above medium mouthfeel. Fruity yeasty concoction, tasty, held back only by its significant carbonation. Good drinkability. Warming alcohol through the finish, this is up there with other Belgians.

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2012 [4219-20111231] Tap. Fruity mango lychee aroma. Clear, light orange body with a quick foamy white head. Grainy bitter fruit malt flavour has a lingering fruit finish. Medium body. Good to try, not sure what it is trying to do. (7/3/6/3/14) 3.3

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2012 2012-07-07. Lightly hazy orange amber body, nice off white head and lace. 3+ First sip has a gloriously fruity character that quickly picks up some Belgian yeast notes and a lightly spicy toasty malt character. Light bitterness throughout. 7+ Pleasant aroma has Belgiany yeast mixed with mild malt and a light spice character. 7+ Average plus palate is smooth and softly carbonated. Super interesting fruit character is my favorite part. 7/4/7/3/15+ 3.6 On tap at Volo, Toronto

2012-12-31. Lightly hazy golden amber body, very small off-white head. 3+ Interesting aroma, very lightly metallic, lightly fruity. 7+ The flavour is similar, dry, nice malty base has toasty malt and pale malt character. Light bitterness, light note of something that is not quite metallic, similar to the aroma but more pleasant. 7+ Smooth average plus bodied palate suits the beer. Pretty nice, sessionable Belgian style brew. A bit perplexing to my vocabulary today, but enjoyable. 7/3/7/3/15 3.5 Tap at Volo, Toronto

whitecap (289) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 2, 2012
Tap at Volo December 30th. Bar tender said this was a "smoked wheat beer", House Ales website lists it as a tripel and RB lists it as a Belgian ale. Ive never had anything like this. Pours hazy gold with a thin white cap. aroma of wheat and smoke. Flavours are predominantly wheat malt, and smoke with some subtle (belgian style?) yeast. Damn, this was an interesting beer. Sad to hear that its just a one-off.

Pale golden hazy pour. White head. The aroma is lightly phenolic with a smoky clove character. The malts also have a sort of light honeyish character that lends an interesting floral component. A little bit of heather and some soft mintiness. Its a pretty interesting brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
