Easily the best bipa Ive ever had. This pulls this hybrid style together and makes me see everything it could, (and should) be. The aroma is smoked hops, smoked malt. Lacing great with thick head pour. Taste has soft carbonation, hoppy bitters and some stout-like sourness at the end. Great palate and full profile. Cask at Vankleek Hill’s/Beau’s Oktoberfest. A reddish/brown black ale with a short-lasting beige head. Smell is roast and chocolate. Taste is sweet, brown sugar, chocolate, caramel, molasses. Finish is quite herbal and boozey. Herbal finish is quite lingering! Body is thick, mouthfeel is sticky. No carbonation at all. Pretty good dark ale! mcberko (17837) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 14, 2014
On tap at Bar Volo, pours black with a medium beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, piney hops, and some citrusy notes - nice and roasted. Flavour is a wonderful balance of roasted malt and piney hops, with a fairly astringent finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Wonderful stuff. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 28, 2012

[on cask at Beau’s Oktoberfest 2012]
Nice blend of chocolate and grapefruit hops in the nose. Opaque dark brown under large, tan bubbles. Faint diacetyl behind a nice, tart chocolate and a crapload of US hops; grapefruit and more complex characteristics. Medium to full body, moderate carbonation, lingering black malt character in the finish. Spab (3844) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 30, 2012
On cask at Volo. Pours a dark brown/black with moderate-sized tan head. Aroma is earthy green hops and toasty. Taste is modestly roasty with earthy hops and a little citrus. Pleasantly bitter finish. Average body. Nice. Radek Kliber (7359) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - FEB 14, 2012
