On cask at Bar Volo. Appearance: cherry red, snow white bubbly head. Aroma: weirdly a quick flash of tequila sunrise! Quicky disappeared though, then rye, malt, lemon, strawberry too. Flavour: cherry, lots of rye, tangy malt, finish is quite muted but I do know the cask is 6 days old. I still like it. Sammy (12335) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 22, 2011
Kind of funky, a little sourness in the finish but otherwise a tasty cask. Caraway seeds gives a good rye bread kick. Light colour, good bitterness, ibu 40, from Magnum hops (fragrance East kent Goldings). Light colour, some cask bubbles head.

UPDATED: SEP 25, 2011 2011-09-23. Hazy golden amber with a small frothy white head. 3+ Sweet merciful crap thats a lof of caraway! Intense caraway character in both the flavour and aroma dominates the overall impression, modest malt and tasty malt accents come up from below. 6+ Aroma of the little cracker twists on the Volo boards, strong caraway profile. Average plus palate. Interesting but pretty intense. Kind of hard to finish. 7/3/6/3/13 Cask at Volo, Toronto
2011-02-18. Dark orange amber body is lightly hazy with a huge frothy beige head. 4+ First sips are quite dry and bitter up front, mild sweet malt, mild fruit and citrus. Under currents of a sort of spicey-grainy something that I am attributing to the rye influence, perhaps incorrectly. Varying touches of citrus and hops throughout. 6+ Modest aroma, lightly yeasty, fruity, mild malt. 6+ Average plus palate is very lightly carbonated but as a pleasantly full body or a cask. Hints at apple like fruit when it warms up. Interesting. Enjoyable. 7/3/7/3/14 Cask at Volo, Toronto
