On tap at Volo. Really hazy with little head. Mild aroma smells kinda fresh. Orchard fruit, sweet malt, some resin and a little citrus. Flavour is similar, and a little mild as well. Id never know this was an IIPA.

3.5
Lubiere (13796) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 5, 2013
A murky grey amber IPA with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet tropical fruits with light floral hops and grassy notes. In mouth, a smooth sweet fruity grassy malt with floral hops, orange and peaches.

Lots of pine and citrus peel aroma here. Pours cloudy light orange. Some nice musky malt. Pretty thick consistency. Carbonation on the lower, end of the low side. Finishes bitter, a little astringent. On tap at volos.

robinvboyer (4589) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 3, 2012
Copper pour, small white head. Nice grassy hops, big citrus, pine resins. Not as grapefruity as i expected, but still quite nice. Some earthy hops come through in the finish with a solidmalt base to balace it all out.

3.8

October 27, 2012 - 8th Annual Volo Cask Days. Score! I thought I had already rated this one, so this is a bonus. Slightly hazy and oily-looking gold with a smallish frothy off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruit semi-sweet malt, alcohol, but mostly floral/citrus/slightly sprucey bitterness. Taste follows, quite bitter and a little warming - perhaps a tad aggressive with the bitterness (7+). Solid body, astringent, decently carbonated, long bitter pithy finish, alcohol and fruity malt in the linger, drifting on a sea of bitterness.

Cask Days 2012. This cask was brewed for the after party, which Ralph kindly brought in the Sunday Session with the scarcity of casks left. Cloudy golden colour. A big and fun bitterness. Up front hops, a good cask and good drinkability

JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 30, 2012
Cask. Bright hop aroma. Fresh citrus and sweet malt. Some light spice and pepper. Tasty and fresh. Lemon/ zesty finish. Lovely brew.

Great colour and pour. Aroma is sweet with citrus hops. The same comes through well in the taste and makes for a smooth hoppy double IPA.
