Beer pours a dark blackish-brown with a creamy light brown head. The aroma was was rye, chocolate, muted coffee, and grass. The mouthfeel is medium-full bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is bitter rye, some chocolate, and a hint of molasses.

[4358-20120329] Tap. Fruity sweet cherry roast aroma. Black brown body with a quick bubbly head. Black cherry roast chocolate malt flavour has a nice sweet roast base and light roast finish. Medium-full body. Wow, delicious! (8/3/8/4/16) 3.9

2012-03-29. Black, headless, average plus bodied palate is nearly flat but still nice. Mild aroma, mild dark malt, light grainy rye accents. 7+ Flavour is similar, mild dark malt, rye accents, slight roast in the finish lingers pleasantly. 7+ More rye would kick it up a notch but might detract from the effortless drinkability of it. This was a relatively straightforward porter but quite nice. Probably even better on draft. I finished the night with a second glass of this. Beaulo Event, Volo, Toronto
