Pours orange with good head and lots of good lacing. Smells very citrusy with some booze and a little orange. Medium carbonation. Taste has citrus peel bitterness and some nice tang. Some malt in here as well. Great IPA.even has a little of a crazy candied scent reminiscent of Thai chicken wing sauce that shows up as it warms up. On tap at volos.
[4879-20121027] Cask. Fruity sweet orange aroma. Slightly hazy, dark orange body with a quick bubbly off-white head. Bitter orange fruit flavour. Medium body. Good and quite hoppy. (7/3/7/3/14) 3.4

Cask Days 2012.
Big citrus notes, sweeter than bitter, some pine, and resins. Fruity, but not over the top, subtle, but not forgettable. Reminds me of a true west coast american IPA, but sweeter. Quite bitter finish with more hops, the grapefruit really comes through. nice stuff. blankboy (7689) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 15, 2012
My 4800th rating! Cask at Cask Days 2012. Ninth beer of the fest. Glad to see this beer make a return, and this time it’s rateable! Pours a murky copper-gold with a long-lasting average size bubbly off-white head. Resiny hop aroma backed by caramel malt, fruit
Really hoppy, resiny flavour along with lots of sweet caramel malt (a bit too much for my preference). Decent bitter finish. Average to medium bodied. Almost equally hoppy and malty, I remember it being hoppier last time -- still a really good beer though. HogTownHarry (6872) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - NOV 1, 2012
October 27, 2012 - 8th Annual Volo Cask Days. *** Rating # 5,500 *** Very happy to rate this one FOR REAL after several years. Cloudy orange-amber pour, smallish bubbly/frothy off-white head. I remember this thing smelling and tasting a lot like Dreadnaught, only more floral bitterness than citrus/pine; and it does, but it’s a touch sweeter, not as bitter as I remember, fruity but not as tropical - stronger alcohol too; the floral/citrus bitterness eventually gets there, but it takes its time. Average fruity malt body, decent cask liveliness, only a medium-length finish, quite warming. I think I would prefer this on draught to cask.

Cask. Amber pour. The nose is malty and somewhat spicy. A touch of light fruit as well. More balanced than I’d have expected from something called Hopocalypse. Decent stuff.

2012-10-27. Lightly hazy dark orange amber body, nice small frothy beige head. 3+ Aroma is milder than expected, modest fruity hops, lightly yeast fruit notes. 7+ Flavour is quite fruity, mild citrus, more modestly bitter than I expected up front, but it is cumulative and grows on the palate as the glass goes on. Mild sweet malt support, muted caramel touches deep down. 7++ Very smooth average plus palate, light carbonation. 3+ I left the glass to warm up for a bit and a lovely lychee-tropical fruit character developed. Very nice, very quaffable. Cask Days 2012 at Brick Works, Toronto
