[4218-20111231] Tap. Sweaty honey wood aroma has just a touch of evergreen. Slightly hazy, wine yellow body with a quick foamy off-white head. More toasted honey wood in the flavour with a long aftertaste of sweaty smoked wheat. Medium body. Really strange, nice smoke infusion. (7/3/6+/3/13) 3.2

December 31, 2011 - on draught at Volo. Hazy light gold with a decent creamy lasting off-white head. Aroma is lightly smoky, pretty much zero alcohol - maybe a bit of campfire ash ... mild, but pleasant. The taste - starts quite smoky indeed, but that fades quickly and you get mostly thick fruity malt, nice balance. Chewy, thick, light carbonation, with a quick finish and a light hardwood smoke tang in the linger - extremely drinkable, will have this again for sure. Wuh-HAY, Radek!! On tap at Volo. Pours a hazy golden colour with small white head. Aroma is subtle but definitely has a smoky, wheaty character. Flavour is similarly very smoky but without any sense of roastiness and with an underlying wheatiness. Interesting - I’m probably a simpleton but this doesn’t strike me as my go to style. jercraigs (11071) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 19, 2012
2012-12-31. Lightly hazy pale yellow body with a large white head that fades. 3+ Modest but very present smoke character, whispers of campfire, pale wheaty notes. 7+ Sweetish wheaty flavour, smoke is more subdued than in the aroma, mild sweet wheat core and a drier finish. 6+ Average bodied palate. Relatively mild core beer, the smoke is restrained by smoked beer standards by still the dominant character for me, which is not something I care for. Well made but not to my taste. I am a smoke wuss! Tap at Volo, Toronto JoeMcPhee (10129) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 7, 2012
Tap at Volo. Pale cloudy golden pour with a tight head. The aroma has a lovely soft rauch malt smokiness. Here is a kiss of wheaty spice and some soft noble hoppiness as well. Palate is light and refreshing but not watery at all. After the first sip, the malt kind of becomes more prominent with a lovely crackery malt character. The hops add a nice spicy edge that also accentuates the wheat. Pretty solid session brew.
