This is a great beer. Compared to the other beers shows this brewery has potential....
bomber @ "PriBAB" @ casbahcafechicago (byob). "quite a bit of bourbon" is right. a bit thin. akoeninger (776) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 15, 2014
Dark brown in color. Thin to no head. Strong bourbon and vanilla aromas. This beer is heavy in the bourbon and vanilla taste with some roastiness. Light body. This feels like a good idea that with some tweaking could really shine.

Draft. The pour is dark. The aroma is lighter on the bourbon. The taste is very thin and under carbonated. Don't get any of the oatmeal stout notes that come through.

Brown black, no head. Flat, no carbonation, really takes away a lot of potential enjoyability. As it is, just a really barrel forward, harsh, burning bomb. Really surprised to find out this is only 6%...wow. Caramel, molasses, syrup. Watery booze barrel. Not as horrific as it might sound, but very sub-par, needs work. On tap at GTMW. Poured deep brown with a spotty dark beige head. The aroma picked up sweet, toasty brown, vanilla, and molasses malts, with not a whole lot of barrel going on.. came across simple, but aiight. The flavor found toasted black and lesser chocolate malts at the core with accents of lightly-smoked roast and a kiss of bourbon.. like the nose, it was sufficient, but not exciting. Lighter-bodied and slick on the palate with low carbonation.. OK feel and flow. cbfobes (2888) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - SEP 3, 2012
On tap at Dexters, pours black with a thin tan head, aroma has a good amount of bourbon on the nose with a tad bit of chocolate, flavor is much sweeter than I was expecting, quite a bit of bourbon is through out the drink. One of the better brews I haves from these guys. esjaygee (3902) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 9, 2012
On tap at The Malt House. Black with a very thin brown crown. Aroma of tobacco, drain cleaner, roasted malt, mild bourbon and a bit of peated malts. Thin carbonation and a chalky texture with chocolate, tobacco, soy sauce, roasted malts and mild bourbon.
