Cask (backlog). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, zest, toffee, some wood and mild herbal notes. Flavour is fruits, grass, caramel, some herbs, citrus and mild salty notes. ianwelby (1566) - SCOTLAND - SEP 12, 2013
Clear golden beer with a decent foamy head. Aroma is very lightly sweet. Flavour is of slightly sour fruit, a hint of citrus and banana and it has a very light, floral finish. There?s nothing wrong with it but it?s not entirely to my taste. SaintMatty (7603) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - JUL 19, 2013
Cask (SRAF 2013) - Golden in colour. Lemon, tea and a hint of dried fruit in the aroma. Crisp, dry and moderately hoppy taste with grain, malt and lemon detected. jfb (6984) - GERMANY - MAY 24, 2013
(cask) pours a slightly hazy golden colour with a creamy white head. aroma of heavy diacetyl, cinnamon, herbal hops, vanilla and lebkuchen spice. flavour is mostly the same, with slightly less butter, notes of banana, pale malts and a light-bitter herbal-hoppy finish. medium-bodied with soft carbonation. jd543 (428) - SCOTLAND - MAR 21, 2013
Good beer. Bitter without the citrus that seems to be quite common in many pale ales at the moment. Straight forward tasty beer. Very drinkable.

Cask at the Castle Tavern, Inverness. It pours clear golden yellow, with a medium white head. The nose is sweet pale malt, biscuit and light farmyard notes. The taste is sweet malt, straw, citrus pith and faint floral notes, with a dry finish. Light-medium body and soft carbonation. An above average golden, pretty well balanced and drinkable. Had a half of this one from cask at JDWs Edward Wylie. The body colour is golden heading towards amber. Fragile layer at the top, laces well. Plain fruit hoppy aroma. Hoppy flavour with notes of dried fruits. Bittersweet ending. Easy to drink (Glasgow, 13.04.2012).
