500 ml bottle. Dark amber colour. Clear. Medium-sized white fine-laced head. Rich dark malty aroma with crisp spicy hops. Carbonation is lively, likely enhanced by the spicy hops. Nutty and caramelly malt flavours. Finished by a slightly metallic bitterness. Bierkrug (2129) - - OCT 9, 2010
500 ml flip-top bottle in Germany. A very strange sort of beer, Pours a tea like color, head is while and fluffy. Tastes like an English bitte and a dark lager, it is not unpleasant, but there is a good strong bitterness, Palate is a strane metal that lingers. Decent enough without being spectacular, but it is not really for me. larsga (7625) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 9, 2010
Medium shiny lasting pale beige head. Amber body with carbonation. Fruity caramelly aroma with minty notes. Dry-sweet strawy resiny grassy taste with caramelly floral notes. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Light body. Very clean and harmonic. Dry caramelly floral fruity aftertaste with wooden grassy notes. Very nice, and highly drinkable. Incredibly subtle. Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Strange aroma when the bottle popped, almost like shampoo. Sweet with quite a bitter finish BeerCast_Rich (1906) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 22, 2010
500ml bottle [Beers of Europe, King’s Lynn]
Really unsure what to expect from this one - total random purchase. Pours highly carbonated with dispersing head, very nice caramel brown colour. Caramel malt aroma with some sweetness. Malt is the first taste as well, which gradually gives way to rising sweetness that takes over. Cold, it’s pretty refreshing, gets a bit too sweet as it reaches above cellar temperature. Doesn’t taste 5.5% at all. [12/11/2009]

500ml bottle (One Pint, Helsinki, Koelsh Days 2010) (6:3:5:2:9=2.5)
Nut brown, tiny head. Dry nutty aroma. Feels papery in the mouth. Retronasals papery too, as it the taste. Lip-smackingly dry. It’s kinda tasty in some ways, but the cardboardiness is too much.
Rerate: 500ml bottle (Beer Barrel, Vilnius) (7:4:6:4-:13=3.4)
7 Lovely malty aroma, almost mammi-like sticky stodgy rye malts. Some pleasant light esters too.
4 Rich red, large frothy head, settles to a scummy layer
6 Fullish flavour and retronasals in the mouth, a touch nutty, nice dry husky grains with an OK roast. Very little sweetness, but not as dry as the previous sample.
4- Refreshing palate, decent carbonation. Finish lovely dry and woody, and with pleasant bittering noble hops too.
13 Very tasty and drinkable beer. No idea what had gone wrong with the once a couple of years back, but this is a very tasty brew, even if it is D.A.B (Oetker).
500 ml bottle. Dark golden body with a nice off-white head. Nice aroma of grain and malt plus biscuit. Flavor is sweet malty, caramel, relatively bitter with a faint hint of metal in the finish, not unpleasant. Well balanced body, tasty and quaffable. Zita (6331) - Assentoft, DENMARK - APR 24, 2010
bread, toast, brown, clear, white foam, light sweetness, lightly bitter, light body, creamy, soft carbonation, bitter, Hansen (8612) - Assentoft, DENMARK - APR 24, 2010
Brown and clear. Has a white head. Sweet malty aroma, faint hoppy. Flavor starts moderate sweet and finish heavy bitter, some iron notes too. Lively carbonation. muffel (150) - Lower Saxony, GERMANY - APR 12, 2010
Bottle 500ml. Pours a dark brown/copper color with medium white head that leaves some lacing. Taste is a bit malty, but also with notes of hops, some caramel and hints of honey. Slightly bitter aftertaste. Medium body and carbonation. I found this particularly difficult to define because it’s not really like a typical Alt as it reminded me a bit of a Bitter. Don’t think I ever had anything comparable. Quite good beer and I like the bottle :)
