COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Formerly known as "Hövels Original Bitterbier". Nowadays sold Germany-wide with the additive "Feinherbes Rotgold".

guzgorog (968) - FRANCE - DEC 8, 2015

hauxe (1015) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - DEC 5, 2015
Pleasantly bitter with an underlying "hoppiness". Wonderful, foamy long lasting head. Pleasant, if somewhat lacking in complexity. Goes well with food.

Brewhemia (321) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 15, 2015
Beautiful clear deep amber color with white head that lingers beautifully. Not much aroma but some cellar aromas and some grass/cereal. The taste is subtle and a light bitterness dominates with a light sweetness taking over in the finish. Afinetuned balance I think. I like it. Good level of carbonation.

50cl bottle split with a friend. Pours a amber brown colour with a decent white head. Aroma’s of raisins, bread, caramel. Taste is sweetish with notes of caramel, bread, metallic. Texture is creamy with average carbonation

Aus der Bügelflasche. Dunkles Rot. Malzig herber Duft. Sehr wenig Kohlensäure, deshalb recht süffig. Malz, leichte Säure und bitterer Abgang. Ungewöhnliches Bier!
