jinroh (2281) - ESTONIA - OCT 13, 2017
Manchester beers tasting at Tokyo Midtown. Pours dark brown, mahogany. Nose has some soft velvety toffee, light rum and coke, little vanilla. Soft and lightly leathery. Flavour has more toffee, somewhat buried under rum character. Finish is short. Feels like a half watery, half rum flavoured scottish ale, not really a porter.

Smells like cheap rum and butterscotch. Not even beer. Nailpolish on the back end.

Cask at Piccadilly Tap. Clear amber brown color, tan head. Aroma of fruity coffee grounds. Taste is boozy plum and earthy coffee, tannins. Different.

On cask at Sheaf View, Heeley - Deep amber body, off white head. Nose is earthy and roasty. Taste has a sweet warmth that sends this away lovely, with the palate making it a winner. I was knocked a-back by this one after a day of golden blands around Sheffield.

ManVsBeer (10953) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 25, 2014
Fox & Goose Beer Festival, Hebden Bridge. Dark red, no head. Very sweet with plenty of rum notes that are dominant in both aroma and taste.

MrTipple (6471) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 9, 2014
Aroma: medium caramel malts, some alcohol noticeable. Appearance: brown, hardly any head. Taste: medium to heavy sweet. Palate: some bitters coming up towards the end of the long finish. Overall: very nice Porter. Pint at the GBBF13, London.

Leighton (22307) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 18, 2013
Sampled at GBBF 2013, London - Day 2. Pours clear brown with a light, frothy head. Nose of dark brown bread with touches of rubber and chocolate. Medium sweet flavor with toasted brown bread and mild dark fruits. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Simple finish of toasted malts, brown bread and restrained cocoa. Alright overall.

Pizd (435) - Merseyside, ENGLAND - AUG 17, 2013
(Cask, GBBF 2013): Dark brown in colour, tiny head. Aroma smelt like a cardboard box, wasn’t impressed by that all. The taste redeemed it somewhat with some nice liquorice and coffee flavours. Yet, the aftertaste was cardboard or something similar. Odd one, maybe it was just off.
