Pours golden with a frothy head. Bitter malts on the aroma and flavour, more on the hoppy side. Not bad. Oakes (18794) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 17, 2010
Hazy amber. Thin head. Balanced character. Light caramel and earth. Vague all round. Moderate bitterness. Very middle of the road character, just not that interesting. bhensonb (15753) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 8, 2011
1L swingtop from Malt & Vine. Pours hazy amber gold with a foamy white head. Light aromas of floral and fruit. Med body. Frothy carb. Flavor is floral, light stone fruit, touch of citrus, light malt, and something that makes me think of matches. Guess the main thing is the hop and malt, which is always followed by a herbiness til the next mouthful. It’s quite dry, certainly bitter. I’d say they nailed the style. If I’m being a bit harsh, I think it’s because I keep thinking ESB, which it isn’t. Nice shot at a bit of over the pond. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - JUN 3, 2009

Bottle at PilsnerPeter’s Spring Gathering. Pours a clear golden yellow with a medium white head. Smells of lager style grain and a bit of hops. More grain on a medium body. Bitter, tannic, lightly quinine like, but with no grapefruit character. jcwattsrugger (12524) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUN 18, 2009
@Pilsner Petes East Coast Gathering-1Liter bottle–pours a dissipating white head and yellow color. Aroma is sweet light malt, herbal. Taste is sweet light malt, herbal. Light/medium body. Thanks JoeMcPhee for sharing. jercraigs (10886) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 27, 2009
2009-07-26. Golden yellow-orange body with a nice foamy beige head. (3+) Mild hoppy aroma, grassy notes, muted malts. Mild flavour is grainy, light bitterness, grassy touches in the hops, very light astringency in the back end. Average to light palate. Okay, but too mild. Big 1L swingtop shared with Parksy. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with an average white head. Grainy aroma with soft grassy notes and fruity perfume, reminding me a little of orange blossom. This delicate nuance was lost after the beer rested however. Flavour was of pale malts with a kiss of fruity hops and low bitterness. More like a golden ale IMHO. mabel (9787) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 16, 2009
[2333-20090726] 1L bottle. Grainy mild hops aroma with mild wet grass hints. Clear, light orange brown body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Grainy bitter toasted leaves flavour with a fruity finish. Medium body is bitter. Nice bitterness, drinkable, great start to the evening but otherwise nothing special.
