COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Andrew "Boomer" Eykelenboom was a native of western Canada and a medic with the Canadian Armed Forces. On his last mission to Afghanistan in 2006, for which he volunteered, he was killed by a suicide bomber. Boomer was known to have an appreciation for good red ales, and this "Canadian Red Ale" is brewed in his honor. It is a smooth red ale, brewed with 5 different malts with Magnum and Perle hops.

Powertrip (1000) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 22, 2010
Bottle consumed on 11/17/2010 in Whistler, British Columbia. Purchased from the Brewery. Colour was strikingly red with slight traces of brown. Nose: Apple, caramel, roasted deep malt, pecan, firewood. Quite nice. Taste: Medium sweet, light bitter, medium sour. Pot roast, hot caramel, cough syrup. Sweet but not overly, great mouthfeel and exploding with malt. Great stuff.

Redish amber color with tight tan head. Aroma is all malt. Taste is mellow and finishes nicely at the roof of the mouth. Nice and smooth.

tiggmtl (4544) - East York, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 12, 2010
Rather pleasant malt forward aroma has caramel and cereal with definite floral and earthy hop notes as well as a honey-like mustiness. Clear brown body is topped by a decent, fine bubbled off white-tan head that recedes to a thin but long lasting cover. Sweet round malt flavour has the same components as the aroma suggests - caramel, cereal, earthy, floral and musty notes. Bitterness comes on late but is quite strong and cuts through the sweetness very well. Medium light body is quite dry with very lively effervescence. Tulip glass. Just above fridge temperature. 1L swingtop bottle purchased at Brewery Creek in December 2010.

Tried in bottle at ~15C. Pleasant but mute nutty nose. Smooth drinking red with enough (though modest) hops to liven things up.

Very Light but fragrant nose, slight flowers Taste sharp hops up front, spicy malts give nice round flavour. Good light starter beer, basic but well done light red ale. (What Rickard’s Red wishes it was.)

JoeZasada (317) - Beaumont, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 21, 2011
1L flip-top bottle. Pours a redidsh medium amber with a thick and lasting peral head. Earthy aroma. Tastes very malty - notes of caramel, bread, some chocolate, with a slight earthy hop bitterness. Finishes with a good malt taste, same earthy bitterness. This is a pretty good ’malty amber’ type beer, well worth future purchases...

reebtogi (6350) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 31, 2011
1 litre swingtop bottle poured a deep amber color with big white head and some fine lacing. Aroma is caramel and some floral hops. Taste is malty sweet countered with some mild hop bitterness. Needs a little more hops for a better balance. But, overall this is a big malty red ale with full flavors and is a pleasure to drink occasionally.

Light unclear medium amber colour with a large to huge, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head.
