from notes at Cask Days 2011. Spicy sweet aroma. Flavours of sweet pumpkin and noticeable spices. 10% alcohol not overpowering. Nice lingering aftertaste.

October 30, 2011 - Volo Cask Days 2011 - gravity cask. Hazy orange with a nice frothy off-white lasting head. Smells like pumpkin, cinnamon heart candy and alcohol - hot & sweet. Taste is all about the spice, very little pumkin - sweet, too. Velvety mouthfeel, light bodied, good carbonation ... finishes hot and spicy, should be a valentine’s beer, not hallowe’en - and I liked it!!

[4051-20111030] Cask. Cinnamon malt nutmeg aroma. Slightly hazy, amber red body with a quick bubbly head. More cinnamon and grainy spices in the flavour. Medium body is fairly boozy. Interesting. (6/3/7-/3/13) 3.2

A reddish copper ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, loads of cinnamon and cloves, apple pulp, nice. In mouth, smooth cinnamon, clovers, apple pie and pumpkin, very nice. Cask Days, Oct. 30 2011.

Cask days 2011. The aroma was a punch in the face of spices! Just an overload of cinnamon, cardamon, and cloves. The flavor was another punch, but in the throat. Just a dry assault, loads of cinnamon and cardamon, felt like it was drying my throat as it was going down. Waaaaaay too strong for me.

On cask at Volo Cask Days 2011. Pours hazy golden, almost amber colour with very little head. Strong aroma of cinnamon and tasted much like a cinnamon schnapps poured in my ale. Couldn’t find any taste of pumpkin. Couldn’t have more than one of these.

2011-10-30. Lightly hazy brown body with a tiny white head. 3+ Very spicy aroma of cinnamon and nutmeg, muted malt below. 7+ Flavour is similoar, spicy overtones on a sweeter malty base. Average plus palate. Nice, it has a bit more oomph to it than the regular version, but I am undecided as to whether or not the malt can support that much spice. 7/3/7/3/14 Cask Days 2011, Toronto
