Black colour with burgundy hints and thin tan head. Mild esspresso nose. Thin esspresso tatse with bitter coffee and warming alcohol finish
A decent oatmeal stout. Dark and chocolatey. A little licorice, but its more watery than I was expecting. Tried with the parents and Anne in 2017. DeanF (2514) - Alberta, CANADA - JAN 1, 2017
Okay creamy barley aroma modest head and good coffee barley flavour but not much layering or interesting things. Drinkable in a pub setting though. keenano (62) - Saskatchewan, CANADA - APR 9, 2016
Pours dark brown from the bottle into a glass - small tan head forms and leaves quickly. Aromas of coffee, cereal, slight off notes of earthiness. Decent mouthfeel with solid carbonation, but not great flavours of anything outstanding. A very moderate oatmeal stout. DoppelBach (1) - Ontario, CANADA - NOV 6, 2015 does not count
Nice tan head. Aromas somewhat subdued. Great balance of roasted malt, chocolate, oatmeal, and coffee character. Very creamy and rich on the palate, with pleasant bitterness to balance. anthony850 (473) - Andover, New Jersey, USA - OCT 24, 2015

If you’re in need of an unbalanced, watered down oatmeal stout with a great looking bottle you should seek out Howe Sound’s Diamond Head. There will be a large amount of regret free with your purchase in the form of realizing you could have bought 4 Sam Smith Oatmeal Stouts for the price of one of these disappointments. jefcon (1921) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - AUG 28, 2015
Nutty aromas with chocolate milk on the nose. Mild malt and a creamy finish. Lightly hopped. Kudos for the closable bottle and being just as good on the second day. a_sully (457) - - AUG 22, 2015
Deep brown, almost black body with a foamy/frothy white tan head. Aroma is sweet with a touch of nut. Taste is sweet but with a bitter nuttiness and oats.

Pours a nice black colour with a tan head that hangs around to the bottom. The taste is of light burnt coffee, bitter chocolate, caramel, oats and some earthy hops. Not as smooth as some with that bitter kick, but very nice. blackmetal (241) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 4, 2015
rather thin and a bit of a let down. Has some coffee and chocolate notes but somehow too weak
