Has a straightforward caramelized sweet nose that gives a nice spiced bread pudding impression. Very sweet molasses flavor and toffee flavor, a bit of gingerbread and pumpkin spices, figs. This is very sticky stuff, not a lot of bitterness coming through the sugars, but after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - DEC 2, 2011
1L giganto swingtop, capped. The usual Howe Sound home-protection device packaging. Pours a dark murky amber with a nice creamy tan head. Big sweet clove and cinnamon nose, very treacly and gingerbready. Fairly flat, fairly light body. Caramel, gingerbread, molasses, and light pie spice on the mid palate. Mild sweet finish. Appealing enough and perfectly drinkable, but could definitely benefit from some complexity. Radek Kliber (7501) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - SEP 23, 2011

Aroma soft frontal nose, aromatic with hints of clove and other spices. Pumpkin, vanilla and malts behind. Very proper.7+
Appearance hazed amber red. Good shade of it. Mid bone white smallish top.4-
Flavor and Palate : Medium light body. Still , mild with set of spices on top. Clove even some chocolate , sugars followed with vanilla , hibiscus and caramel. Gives holiday vibe.
1 litre swing-top bottle poured a nice amber color with a small off-white head and very little lacing. Aroma is nutmeg and cinnamon. Taste is lightly sweet with the spices and a lingering hoppy spice blend in the end. Lightly carbonated and medium bodied. A nice winter seasonal to enjoy during the holiday season. Rich, malty with lots of Xmas spice up front. Big rich flavorful. Lots of vanilla and nutmeg. This is a tasty deep cold weather brew.
Bottle:   Amber, fiery copper, clear, large foamy off-white head, nice lacing.   Nutmeg and gingerbread cookie on the nose.   Similar tongue.   Add in some pale biscuity malts and that pretty much sums it up.   Clean, simple, but not all that complex.   Flavors linger quite a while tho.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Decent, but nothing too exciting. yogibeerra (30) - KAMLOOPS, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 12, 2011
four different malts and two different hops plus a cornucopia of spices and other goodies. at this point, this is my favourite Xmas season offering. rwgould (331) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 1, 2011
Had one of the 1L bottles from the liquor store. Aroma smells strongly of vanilla, nuts, cinnamon. Quite nice. Appearance: Transparent brown, small frothy head, no carbonation. Palate: Medium bodied, bit of a dry finish. Taste: medium sweetness, slight bitterness, very savoury. Probably one of my Howe Sound favourites. manuchampions (1245) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 3, 2010
Sample at Howe Sound brewpub in Squamish. Dark copper body with minimal head. Aroma is malty and Christmas cake spicy. Some nutmeg and cinnamon. Nice caramel malt sweetness upfront with enjoyable underlying spice before a touch of bitterness. Very good for the style. fiulijn (21516) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 31, 2010

Hazy dark amber color. A spicy and soapy Ale, with some caramel, some residual sweetness, and a good body. Not my kind, mostly because of the soapy touch.

Hazy amber color. Light aroma of caramel and candies, light peach. Sweetish flavor, a bit fruity, with light vegetables and spices; low bitterness. Not impressive.
