Mahogany with a light head. Spotty lacing. Ginger and nutmeg in the nose. Some roast. Flavor has similar spices and some bitterness. Earthy and warm as well. Fuzzy finish with spice and sweet malts.

Pours a cloudy dark copper with a red hue. Pours with a off white head that dissipates quickly into a ring. Aroma of sweet caramel malts, cinnamon toast, Vanilla & gingerbread. Taste of toffee, cinnamon, figs/dates, hint of vanilla and then finishes with a nice alcohol warming. Nice winter warmer.

Dark copper body with minimal head. Father John is malty and spicy on the nose. Some nutmeg and cinnamon. Nice caramel malt sweetness upfront with nice underlying spice before a touch of bitterness rounds this off. Nice einter beer.

Pours deep amber with a medium off white head...aroma is full of christmas spice, citrus, clove, cinnamon and yeast, fruity malts...flavour is similar with a nice tannic note to offset the malt...interesting stuff...

Amber brown with a tan head. Lots of mulling spices, smells of gingerbread and dark fruit. Quite sweet, finishes dry. Some clove, some ginger, not too bad for the style.

Love these giant bottles with the flip tops they always make me smile. Oh man this smells good. Cloudy brown body with an average looking cap, nice and long lasting though. Mmmm……smells like baking and memories of Christmas past. Nutmeg, cloves, vanilla, honey all can be tasted all built on a thick chewy malty back bone. Brew almost has eggnog like flavours but not really. A mild coffee like bitterness is noticeable in the finish. Great Christmas brew, highly enjoyable, perfect on a cold winter day infront of the T.V.

Bottle shared. Cloudy light brown. Aroma is silky cinnamon, light licorice, tootsie roll. Taste is sweet. Thin, slightly creamy.

vadie (1256) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 20, 2013
