1L Flip-top bottle. Pours a pale leyyow with a moderate white head, lots of carbonation. Aroma: Sweet, floral. Tates: malty, notes of hay, caramel, vanilla. Some hop bitterness, herb-like. Finishes grassy. Pretty good; a good ’gateway beer’ to craft beer.
On top of Sea to Sky gondola after hike with Ilya. A taster. Boring stuff, lager forward. Meh. JPDIPSO (6300) - Wauwatosa, USA - JUN 21, 2016
Clear light golden color with a taller, slowly diminishing heavy cream colored head. Herbal to grassy hops scent, much like an import lager. Hint of perfume behind. Lightly sweet in the front. Pale grains and dough. Hints of alcohol. To me, it seems that the honey dried things out and this has some qualities/characteristics of a stronger euro lager. Slightly odd coming from a honey pale ale. 6/10

Oh ya, it’s a constant struggle gettin’ up that hill... and pouring this huge bottle into a little glass. But it pours all right, some decent head, yellow body as typical for lager beers and a bit of carbonation. Lots of sweetness on the nose, maybe some hints of a lager flavour. It’s a very sweet ale, probably too sweet, as the honey dominates everything. No complexity and unbalanced. Okay dry finish. I’d prefer a little more complexity and balance. I’ll still finish this 1 litre bottle though. MunBro (942) - St. Albert, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 26, 2015
An okay pale ale, but nothing stands out for me. Had mild, uninteresting hop notes with sweetness of honey clouding most of the other flavours. Easy drinking but would not have it again. Ferris (17126) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 26, 2015
Draft - Lots of grains. Clear gold with a decent white head. Grains and a light sweetness. Easy drinking, but boring.

Pours a clear golden yellow with small but persistent white foam head.
Aroma is gentle, a whiff of honeyed bread in another room. Taste manages the nice feat of being honeyed without being cloying. There is a lemon accent along with bread and butter. The hops are just enough to add a hint of bitterness without upending the flavors.
The palate here is not complex, but it shows what can be done with simple elements well controlled.
I approached this skeptically, but it’s another thoughtful offering from Howe Sound: sweetish but not cloying, creamy but refreshing.

Poured a hazy yellow-amber with visible suspended particles. The head is thin white and leaves faint lacing. Taste is light cereal, honey and herbal hops. Very carbonated. It’s ok, but not spectacular. SardiniaMan (42) - British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 15, 2014
Easy to drink beer and very refreshing pale ale. Nice aroma, lightly hopped, and great improvement on the graphics. Stizz19 (64) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 19, 2014
Pours a golden color with a quickly dissipating white head. Smells of honey (duh). It tastes a bit too carbonated to me. Ok beer, good for summer.

Inoffensive but bland. A little honey, a little malt, a touch of grass but tastes like it’s on mute.
