Bottle shared with northropfrye. I guess I just needed a beer. Not sure what it tastes like on the front but on the back it taste like cream soda to me, but in a different way than the last beer I rated. This is more insistent and lingering. Banana and clove is coming across to me as cream soda, but without the ridiculous sugariness of a pop. northropfrye (3514) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - JUN 21, 2014
Cloudy yellow body with foamy white lasting head and lots of little bubbles rising to the surface - pretty typical hefeweizen appearance really. Warm straw, wheat sweet aroma. Taste is sweet, slightly tart, a bit more intense and a touch of bitter, but doesn’t taste radically different than a regular hefeweizen. Abv well masked. weihenweizen (3751) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - JUN 21, 2014
Refrigerated 1 L brown bottle with fliptop poured into weizen glass. Pours cloudy light orange with large deep golden highlights and medium off-white head. Aroma is bready, medium body, medium carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is estery, bready, some clove, some bubblegum, and hints of alcohol. Good weizenbock, but not my favorite and at $15 for a 1L bottle I won’t be seeking this out. Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 17, 2014
Spicy, sweet, citrusy, herbal, well balanced, and a dash of alcohol. Top weizenbock. Or Imperial Hefe - an interesting beer that can be understood equally by either name, but in any case is one worth seeking out. kschep (1707) - DENMARK - JUN 8, 2014
Nose is decent banana, iron whiff, hay, feel is quite broad, taste is heavy banana, lime zing, hay, late subtle alcohol warmth, dough, very balanced and still with that extra oomph

The word "imperial " should never preface Hefe Weizen.
This was boozy & non refreshing, with little or none of type typical hefe traits ChewyBeer (371) - SOUTH AFRICA - MAY 16, 2014
Pours good golden but good head. Strong nose of orange. Medium full mouthfeel, good carbonation. Solid wheat flavour backed up by orange. obguthr (6301) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - APR 29, 2014
Babyfood banana aroma. Crystal clear amber, thick lasting head. Decidedly less fruity on the palate, with wheat bread taking its place. Alcohol evident Grassy hops are surprisingly assertive. Malty and boozy, hoppy for the style, but kind of neat. Paired well with lemon frosted sugar cookies.
