pours a golden-amber color with medium white head. strong, fruity aroma. taste is extremely fruity with banana, melon and possible light nuts and spices. finish is bitter fruit with a lot of alcohol left on the palate. This is simply a great beer, but it is also as unbalanced as they come. While sometimes that can be a good thing, in this case, much of the fruit flavours start to beome muted as the beer warms up and the alcohol becomes more prominent. This is my first Howe Sound tasting, so I am definitly looking forward to more even if the price-point is a little steep. dreamflower (791) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - JUN 21, 2014
Bottle shared with northropfrye. I guess I just needed a beer. Not sure what it tastes like on the front but on the back it taste like cream soda to me, but in a different way than the last beer I rated. This is more insistent and lingering. Banana and clove is coming across to me as cream soda, but without the ridiculous sugariness of a pop. maley1 (1301) - Calgary, CANADA - JUL 9, 2013
Beautiful cloudy orange pour with medium sized off white head. Aroma of banana, yeast, wheat, spice, cloves and caramel. Taste is cloves, banana, yeast, slight caramel, orange citrus and quite spicy. Perfect carbonation, everything coming together perfect in this beer. Absolutely delicious! Excellent beer! nearbeer (5559) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 12, 2014
1 L swingtop. Mostly clear orange-amber with a lasting rocky foam. Nose is spicy banana bread, caramel, wheat and lemony bread yeast. Taste is more of the same goodness plus a bit of roasted walnut, bubblegum, and dry grass on the finish. Medium-heavy body is full of malty sweet goodness, but the acidic yeast and a bit of hops do just enough to keep the balance. Low-medium carbonation keeps it smooth and slick. There’s just a nice hint of the abv. rosenbergh (11753) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 2, 2010

Hazy orange colour with small white head.
Wheat, banana, fruits, some yeast in aroma. Full and rich Weizenbock like aroma. Wheat, banana, fruits and bitter hops in balanced flavour. Just plain delicious. Very much Weizenbock like.
Pours a bit dark amber, hazy, five finger white fluffy head. Smell is an amazing hefeweizen smell of banana and clove, really soft, sweet, and a tiny hint of alcohol. Taste is gum and banana. Very drinkable and refreshing, but very little carbonation. Good. pootzboy (1784) - Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 18, 2013
Big crown capped swing top bottle - cloudy gold color with a 2 finger white frothy hefe cap. Aroma id gorgeous - big banana-bubble gum-clove hefe aromas. Medium bodied, smooth mouth feel for a hefewiezen. Flavour is hefeweizen on steroids....all the flavors you buy a hefe for in a big robust package...fruits, some sweetness and clove, big bisquity malts....finish is not as dry as most hefes but this is a big ale with lots of character....very drinkable and satisfying ChewyBeer (412) - SOUTH AFRICA - MAY 16, 2014

Bottle: Poured a dark golden color ale with a large foamy white head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of banana bread with bubblegum notes. Taste is also dominated by banana bread with bubblegum notes and some residual sugar notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Solid offering with great refreshing factor with enough complexity and no apparent alcohol.
