This is the closest Canada has to offer in terms of a Belgian style strong ale. Unfortunately it is a seasonal and will not be available until spring. mcberko (18979) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 6, 2012
On tap at St. Augustine’s, pours a cloudy golden / murky orange with a small white head. Aroma of soft Belgian spices, some light fruitiness (banana comes to mind), and light pale malt. Flavour brings out banana and clove above anything, with some Belgian spices, yeast and a soft malt backbone. Quite enjoyable and highly drinkable with no hint of the raised ABV. Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of fruits, malt, spices, and yeast. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, spices, yeast, and fruits, as well as hints of smoke, leading to a dry finish. The alcohol is felt on the tongue. Thanks fiulijn for sharing.

Bottle. Cloudy yellow orange, offwhite head. Spicy yeast, wheatish, mandarins, spices. Mellow, chewy, fine sparkly on the tongue. Full fruityness safes it from being too phenolic. Pleasant. anders37 (27062) - Malmö, SWEDEN - OCT 11, 2012

Unclear medium to light dark orange colour with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to light hoppy, light citrus - orange, moderate to heavy yeasty, riped fruit. Flavour is moderate to light light heavty sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, riped fruit, yeasty, dry, fruity yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Sweet candy sugar and yeasty esters in the nose. Clear golden body is topped by a decent white head that lasts well and leaves some lace. Flavour is quite sweet with plenty of fruity esters. Alcohol is not at all apparent. Medium light body with fairly strong carbonation. Tulip glass. Fridge temperature. Bottle purchased in 2012.
