Huge 1 litre bottle from the LCBO. Pours a dark colour with thin off-white head. Aroma is pumpkin, spices. Taste is same. Pretty good pumpkin ale. Cirrhosis (1283) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 11, 2013
Sigh…….. yet another short distracted review due to being at a party. I normally really dislike this style of brew, the pumpkin beers do nothing for me but this one I can drink. Dark copper body with a ok crown, gets extra points for the flip top lid. Body is light and easy to drink. Spices are kept under control so it not like drinking a candle shop. A lot lighter then I was expecting given the higher ABV. Maybe that’s why this is working for me the higher ABV. No fake over the top flavours here…………. That’s a good thing. Just a light pumpkin and spice build onto a solid easy drinking beer. Sarlacc83 (2439) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 7, 2013
Huge bottle from Brian. Thanks!
A: Brackish read with an off-white head.
N: Pumpkin, cinnamon, all-spice and some hops. Not an overly strong flavor, not particularly holiday.
T: Lightly sweet with some spice. Again. light on flavor.
M: Medium body - a touch watered down.
O: Not much to say about this one. It’s an average beer; not good, not bad. douglas88 (9797) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 2, 2013
Giant freaking bottle thanks to neepsntatties . Pours a clear dark copper/orange hue with a medium white head. A big nose of spicy pumpkin. The flavor is more authentic natural pumpkin, light heat, big spices, quite nice. A damn nice pumpkin beer.

On tap at Barley Brothers, Winnipeg. An excellent pumpkin beer. Sweet, spicy, without being overpowering. Pumking this ain’t, but it’s still a very good choice this time of year. SteveLikesBeer (73) - - OCT 31, 2013
It pours with a thin head atop a dark amber body. The bouquet is fruity but not overpowering, with traces of lemon, pumpkin and spice. It’s brewed with barley, fresh roasted pumpkin, hops, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, star anise, water and yeast, but the taste isn’t quite as complex as all of those ingredients would suggest. The pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg flavours are strongest, but don’t dominate to the detriment of balance, which this has a lot of. It has a smooth yet crisp finish. This is an eight-per cent alcohol strong ale that doesn’t taste that strong. I like that and I like this beer overall. It comes in a one-litre bottle with a fliptop cap so you don’t have to drink it all at once, but I couldn’t resist finishing it. The Squamish, B.C. brewery makes this in very limited quantities as part of its John Mitchell Series, so snap it up while you can. Happy Halloween. sudomorph (1200) - Barrie, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 26, 2013
Big, 1L flip top bottle.Pours a clear dark caramel colour with a one finger, off-white head that thins to a film quickly. Slight lacing. Aroma has notes of pumpkin, alcohol, dark fruits, and spices.Taste is balanced and pleasant with a warm, spiced, pumpkin aftertaste.Medium body with a low-medium carbonation. Fairly clean in the mouth with a smooth finish.Overall one of my favorite pumpkin beers. Very nice for sipping away at after a fine dinner. Smooth and balanced. Great flavour and texture. Really wonderful. Has a good creamy fulness and body that is not too malt-sticky on the palate and plenty of warm autumnal flavors going on - rooty allspice, sweet squash, banana, apple butter and pepper. Aroma smooth and sweet with pumpkin fruit nd lemon, has an orange coat and orange-white head. A must-try for slightly sweet tastes.
