Good brown ale. Medium brown with some clearing in the middle. Malty nose with a little banana. Light carbonation easy to drink with some nutty flavors.

Finally trying this! Single bottle given to me at Christmas 2011 from my brother. Colour: Medium chocolate brown with minimal head. Nose: As the label says, nut domimant malt, hint of champagne, light traces of coffee and even cheap perfume. Taste: Medium-light sweet, medium-light bitter, medium sour. Light and cherry-like on entry. Mid palate produces a solid sour-kick with some walnut and almond. Finish moves into charcoal and rough grit with bittnerness.

On tap. Pours clear auburn. Burnt almonds, toffee, sweet malts on the nose. Medium bodied with a bit of sweetness. Flavours of hazelnuts, toffee, with a dry finish of charred oak - slightly bitter. Decent.

Cirrhosis (1283) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 10, 2012
Brew pours a cola brown with a tall tan crown reducing to thick film. Soapy sour aroma, mild hints of coffee, some hazelnut. Big toffee notes in the nose all of a sudden. Taste is light with a mild vinegar finish. Sour, nuts, coffee, some kind of red punch possibly peach. The vinegar like finish is really bugging me its not bad but its not appealing. Medium carbonation with a thin body. I can drink this but why?

Hard to tell from a chilled pint glass. Had a spicey nose from the smaller sample glass, more head too. Pretty dark, more than i expected offf the tap. Flavour is a bit nutty, almost a coffee but not quite at the end. Not too shabby.

Not much going on here. Decent for a brown ale, but still weak overall. Toasty, roasty, and nutty.

On tap. Mahogany with a quick fading tan head. Grains, slightly roasted malts, some nuts, molasses. Very strong malt presence on the palate, average carbonation, decent body, bittersweet, slightly stale caramel finish with a bit of a macro lager ending which is unfortunate, overwhelms the nice dryness and nutty malts.

En fût à The Alibi Room à Vancouver. Couleur brune foncé, mousse beige. Arôme de malt, café, chocolat et herbes. En bouche, houblon, café au lait. Finale en chocolat, noix, cappuccino. Excellente.

Strong aroma is malty with a woody note and a substrate of molasses. It pours a dark, barely transparent brown with a fairly thick but not persistent light tan head that still leaves some good lacing. Malty flavor has a firm woody note and a hint of molasses. Texture is rather fizzy and just a bit on the thin side. Now if only they sold it in quantities other than a whole blooming liter--

1 litre swingtop bottle poured a medium brown color with a beige head and thin lacing. Aroma of roasted malts and nuts. Taste is caramel malts and some chocolate and coffee followed by a dry hoppy finish. A decent nut brown ale.
