Pours a clear amber with a thin head. Aroma is sharp west coast hops with little identifiable malt. Taste is all hops with very little malt to report...leaves a puckering bitterness on the tongue but not one that is very complex. It’s average, not exceptional robforbes (2242) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - OCT 14, 2012
pours a cloudy dark amber with a large tan head.
smell is of caramel, malt, some floral, and hops.
taste is creamy, slightly bitter, caramel, malt, and a little spice. ends smooth and bitter. blankboy (7689) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 13, 2012
Bottle [1L]. Pours a cloudy orange-copper with an average size lasting fluffy white head. Lots of hops in the sweet aroma, citrusy and resiny, but also lots of bready malt and some alcohol. Flavour is also hoppy along with a lot of malt and quite a long, big bitter finish and a bit of an alcoholic bite. Average bodied. A pretty good DIPA.

2012-08-18. Dark orange body with a small beige head. 3+ Hoppy aroma, muted muddled citrus, leafy hops. Flavour is similar, modest citrusy hops and leafy green hop character. 7+ Average palate. Okay, I assume the hops are a little more robust when consumed closer to home. Bottle, Campground Brewdown 2012 our bottle, LCBO private order jredmond (8285) - New York, New York, USA - AUG 23, 2012
Sampled at Kramer’s Campground Brewdown 2012. Pours an amber body with light white lacing. Aroma is sweet, fruity malts and light grassy hop. Mouthfeel is light with notes of fruity malts, toasted malts, and light hop characters. Double IPA?? Hmmm.

Had this at the Campground Brewdown. Pours a mostly clear amber to ruby color with a thin to medium bodied white head. Sweet malt and toast, light hops. Malt, earthy sweet and lightly oxidized. Malt, toast, dark fruit. Earthy malt, sweet into earthiness, pungent bitterness. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 19, 2012
750mL flip-top at Campdown Brewdown. Hazy red to orange pour with yellow foam. Cheesy and dusty nose. Taste is heavy tea and tannic dust/sawdust. Sticky candies. Old, stale, sticky DIPA. cfrancis (3446) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 11, 2012
Pours cloudy gold with unfiltered goodness and a small frothy white top. Aroma is citrus hops and sweet honey malts. Taste is a nice warming citrus and earthy hop bitterness. Sweet honey malt follows and smoothens out. Nicely balanced. LarryBeast (616) - - JUL 23, 2012
Draft sampled during HOPoxia 2012. Pours hazy gold with foamy white head. Blended floral-citrus aroma with some soggy cereal character. Good hop/malt balance. Bitter, but not overpoweringly so. Medium bodied. Abrupt finish. High alcohol content readily apparent. WheatKing (1338) - Phnom Penh, CAMBODIA - JUL 22, 2012
Amber colour, dissippating head. A citrus IPA, quite bitter, verging on the paint thinner ones but not quite... I didn’t realize it was a Double when I tried it, so now that makes sense. Surprisingly little finish.
