Botlled. A dark amber beer with a lazing light tan head. The aroma has notes caramel, malt, and bread. The flavor is sweet with caramel, malt, bread, and a bit of metal, leading to a dry finish. Thanks fiulijn for sharing.

Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 8, 2011
Bottle 100 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours an almost clear amber with a creamy and lacing off-white head. A little sweet caramel in the nose with some spicy hops. Medium body, fairly high sweetness, caramellish with a little citrusy hops leaving a good hop bite. Decent if not exactly thrilling. 080411

Murky amber beer, bubbly cream colour head. Palate is light and mildly crisp. Dry thin caramel malts and a trace of milky sweetness. Bitter floral hops, getting harsh. Very mild citrus. Light crisp finish brings a fair bit of hop spice. Clunky but serviceable DIPA.

2014-10-05, draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, 7-5-7-4-14=37
Dark amber color, clean, with creamy head. Solid, smooth and silky; malty and resiny; but also buttery and the aroma is footy.

2011-04-08, bottle from Brewery Creek, Vancouver, 8-5-7-4-16=40
Hazy amber color; generous head, compact, and leaving a nice lace behind. Strong hoppy aroma, first of all sweaty, then a bit fruity too; there is also some yeast. Strong body, sweet toffee flavor; the bitterness is strong, but correctly balanced to the malts; the hops are enough fruity, and also resiny; light yeast; the final is somehow on the harsh side. Better from the bottle than on tap.

2011-03-18, draught at the brewpub, 7-5-7-4-14=37
A bit sweaty hop aromas. There is a moderate sweetness.

2011-03-04, draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, 7-4-6-3-13=33
Hazy amber color; creamy head. Mild aroma of fruits, apples; light resiny hop; light earthy character, maybe yeast. Good body strength, but the malt doesn’t show its true flavor; there is some residual sugar; strong bitterness. Powerful but not shining.

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2010 On tap at the Alibi Room - pours a golden/red. Aroma of skunky hops, herbs and marijuana. Flavour is potent herbal hops with a lingering bitterness. Fairly unspectacular IPA, but at the same time refreshing.

Oakes (17680) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 25, 2014
Golden-amber, lots of woody hop and rich caramel malt, some abv coming out in the finish. A bit of diacetyl blasts out in the finish as well, unfortunately.

TBone (17542) - Pori, FINLAND - MAR 3, 2015
Tap at Mission Dolores, Brooklyn. Amber color, good white head, lace. Fruity, even berryish aroma. Medium-bodied. Flavor has quite amount of warming alcohol, piney bitterness. Highlight of this beer is in the aftertaste which is long and grapefruity.
