Lovely malt forward with strong hop finish. True to English style. Very well balanced. Torontoblue (85) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - APR 16, 2010
UPDATED: OCT 26, 2013 One of the most balanced, perfectly drinkable IIPA’s I’ve ever tasted.
Poured from a 1L swing top, with a hazy amber colour, with a white rocky frothy head which clung to the glass all the way down.
Aroma is pretty subdued for an IIPA, nothing comes across as to overpowering. But nice pine, citrus, grapefruit aromas tease the nose.
Taste is creamy, malt, biscuity and a real nice drying bitter attack on the back of the tongue. The hops don’t totally overpower the flavour, but really blend well with the malt profile.
This is so easy to drink it’s a sin. An IIPA shouldn’t be this easy to enjoy. A real lesson to other brewers who ’think’ an IIPA has to be hopped to high heaven to qualify. mikedR (1561) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - FEB 25, 2014
Very nice, very drinkable. What I like here is the slightly sweet malt. Provides a good counterbalance to the hops and the bitterness. Recommended! pfriesen (113) - Richmond Hill, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 15, 2012
Perfect head of white on a deep amber pour. Rich sweet citrus aroma. Low carbonation with medium body. Light caramel and grapefruit flavours. Lasting citrus pith finish boozedude (2228) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - FEB 7, 2013

1L swingtop from Malt & Vine. Pours hazy copper with a creamy bubbling off-white/beige head. Aromas of light roast malt and floral hop. Med+ body with foamy carbonation. It has a dash of sweet that is quickly overwhelmed by a godawful amount of hop. Got hop burn. Hop seems floral/spicey with some fruitiness. Finish is burning bitter with enough malt tagging along to support it all. This is really tasty stuff. After awhile my mouth got hop fatigue, and it was going pretty smooth. Not harsh at all. fiulijn (20806) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 29, 2011

Dark amber color, clean, with creamy head. Solid, smooth and silky; malty and resiny; but also buttery and the aroma is footy.

Hazy amber color; generous head, compact, and leaving a nice lace behind. Strong hoppy aroma, first of all sweaty, then a bit fruity too; there is also some yeast. Strong body, sweet toffee flavor; the bitterness is strong, but correctly balanced to the malts; the hops are enough fruity, and also resiny; light yeast; the final is somehow on the harsh side. Better from the bottle than on tap.

A bit sweaty hop aromas. There is a moderate sweetness.

Hazy amber color; creamy head. Mild aroma of fruits, apples; light resiny hop; light earthy character, maybe yeast. Good body strength, but the malt doesn’t show its true flavor; there is some residual sugar; strong bitterness. Powerful but not shining.
