UPDATED: FEB 28, 2016 Bottle @ RBWG 2016. Thanks! Copper beer without much in the way of foam or carbonation. This is pretty harsh, actually. A lot of booze, some green apple, and apricot jam. Intensely sugary and sweet to my tastes. Comes off a bit abrasive in all aspects. Was not a big fan of this beer.

Benzai (15460) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JAN 19, 2013
Sampled from bottle @ RBBWG 2013. Hazy murky opaque reddish color, small white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly alcohol, some bitterness as well as some sweetness. Nicely balanced, good body, medium carbonation.

Bottle from Malt & Vine. December 2012 version. Pours clear, dark and ruddy. 3 finger creamy beige head. Aromas of fruit and wood. Near full bodied. Flavor is mixed. Wood, herb and brown sugar come to mind. It’s far from the icky sticky standard. It almost drinks like a regular beer. At 11% that’s deadly! It leaves tasty aspects along the tongue sides. Mouth smacking is a decent description. There’s not even a hint of heat. Something reminds me of the vanilla in AV Solstice beers, but not so overwhelming for sure. This is exceedingly good ale.

Bottle - Vintage 2012 - Caramel malts, red wine and raisin. Cloudy brown with a rich brown head. Very sweet caramel, sherry and some rich dark fruit. A little on the sweet side, but if you like caramel malts you will love this.

2011 edition. A murky dark amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet dark fruity malt with loads of vinous notes, treacle, dark fruits, molasses, light oxidation, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light vinous notes, treacle, light butterscotch, alcohol warmth, nice and smooth.

courtesy of fiulijn; 2010 vintage - cloudy brown beer with no head retention; strong aroma of bread, toffe and alcohol; some overmatured fruits too; full-bodied yet not too thick; some bitterness and a long malty finish with notes of molasses, caramel and cheese with warming alcohol notes as well - decently complex and very enjoyable

187 ml bottle from the brewery, seeing how it is after 2 years’ release, 29th month of life. Poured a brownish body without any head. Looks and taste like rich malt, slightly boozy aroma and there is alcohol warming in the taste, with a bit of booze in the aftertaste. Certainly hits its style, more British in experience, the hops are behind toffee and...butterscotch, understated citrus taste. Smooth drinker.

Bottle shared at Ratebeer awards show. 30/01/2016. .Many thanks! A hazed orange brown coloured pour with no head. Aroma is tangy red berries, woody malts, grapey, hot alcohol. Flavour is composed of nice cakey malts, toffee, red berries, wood. Palate is sweet and sticky, moderate carbonation.

Bottle... Clear copper ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. The bouquet is an odd mélange of meat stock, medium-dry sherry and toffee. Medium-bodied with airy carbonation. The flavor presents caramel, modest bitterness and light acidity. Finishes tongue-numbing and winds up a bit dry. Bottle generously shared by newcigarz!
