341 ml bottle at 11% ABV. 75 IBU. Marked Dec 2012.
Hazy dark brown color, light brown head. Sweet, malty, light of toffee and raisin scent. Sweet, alcohol, roasted, fudge taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium high bitterness.
Bottle, 2013 vintage (silk-screened label, different from the picture here). Deep red-orange colour, with an off-white finger-thick head. Aroma is sweet fruity caramel with hints of spice and booze. Sweet flavours of fruity caramel, a tad syrupy, pitted fruits lead into a very dry finish with moderate bitterness. Pithy chokecherries come to mind. Warming alcohol at the back. Nice. jercraigs (10374) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 1, 2014
2014-07-23. Hazy dark brown body moderate head. Aroma is malt forward, sweet dark malt, dry toasty notes. Flavour is malty and lightly tangy, sweet malt core with mild alcohol in the finish. Sort of bitter in the aftertaste. Average plus bodied palate, moderate carbonation. Decent, more simplistic than expected. Bottle at the RB Awards; not sure who shared it, but I’ll guess Ferris based on the origin of the beer. Thanks again, Ferris! December 2012 vintage. Pours a hazy amber with a finger of beige head that eventually settles into a ring, lasting film, and some lace in the glass. Dark fruits - too much, really - with caramel, brown sugar, and fruitcake. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, fruity mouthfeel. Drinks like its age. sebletitje (10080) - Enghien, BELGIUM - JAN 21, 2013
33cl bottle sample @ RBBWG 2013, courtesy of 77ships.

Thx. for letting me sample this one. 341 ml. bottle sampled @ Borefts 2012. 12/2011 bottled. Red amber with a tanned head. Sweet aged, belgian character and yeast, dark fruits, tad dusty apple, lightly oxidized, brown sugar, spices, milk chocolate. Candy sweet, only light oxidation, brown sugar, belgian yeast, mellow dark fruits, light milk chocolate, toffee, bit light bodied - appears to have aged rather fast. Decent enough. Apparently limited to 1100 bottles. tderoeck (9737) - Gent, BELGIUM - FEB 1, 2013

Little cloudy dark amber beer, small aery off-white head, unstable. aroma: sweet malts, sugary, it’s a barley wine all right, vanilla, milk chocolate. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: chocolate, sweet malts, mocha, caramel, dry hoppy touch, grapes or red wine or something as well. Aftertaste: caramel, vanilla, some cocoa powder, chocolate, bit sugary. Very decent beer!
Deep ruddy amber pour with a thick sticky tan head. The nose is awesome - rich earthy malt with a nice caramel character and a bit of soft fruity hop aroma. Plums and dates with an assertive bitterness. Intense but well-balanced with a nice bright hop character. A touch of pine and some herbal character as well. It tastes great now, but would age well too. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 20, 2014
[6553-20140723] Bottle. Grainy slightly sweet light taffy aroma. Hazy, brown amber body with a medium-lasting foamy light tan head. Sweet toasted grains flavour. Medium-full body. Good. (8/4/8/4/15) 3.9

bottle shared by tom10101, thanks bro! 2011 vintage. pours hazy copper light brownish with a nice light beige head, some retention and lacing. woodsy and dusty caramel, red and lightly oxidized fruitiness, earthiness, grass and pepper. moderate carbonation, medium body, nice earthy-grassy finish. nicely aged, good balance: nice one!
