Iechyd da Joe. Deep mahogany pour with a frothy head and clinging lace. Lovely rich fruit berry aroma with aromatic hop. Smooth rich flavour of winter fruits, chocolate and caramel. Tangy hop background cuts the sweet syrup texture. Sweet tangy finish. Very enjoyable and delicious brew. Canmoore (483) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 5, 2014
Pours a deep brown with a lively tan head. Aroma notes include fig, plum, raisins, roasted malts, caramel, and toffee. Tasting notes include smoked grains, burnt oats, caramel, toffee, figs, plums, and a refreshing bitter finish. This is a fantastic barley wine!!!

2013 vintage. Pours with a really yellow to tan head and sports a darker red to light brown colour. Wow. the aroma is much more hoppy than expected, some caramel and stewed fruit sweetness and some brown sugar. On the palate it is rich, warming with a lots of hoppy bitterness and isn’t as sweet as some other barley wines i’ve had. It has a real butterscotch flavour. I must say, this is my favorite barley wine to date. HipHopOpotamus (233) - Ontario, CANADA - FEB 16, 2014
I have only had a couple barely wines before. So I don’t got much to compare with the style. But its not as sweet as I thought it might be, which is a good thing. As a beer in general I think its a delicious beer!! andrewturba (1190) - Alberta, CANADA - AUG 16, 2014
Pours a cloudy dark copper-light brown with a small white ring of head and great legs. Aroma is rich maltiness, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, and dark dried fruit(mostly prunes and raisins). Flavour is toffee, prunes, rasins, caramel, brown sugar, mild alcohol and a touch of molasses. Really tasty brew, got one more for the cellar.

Bottle 18,7 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Bottle # 579/1100. Pours a clear, nutty brown with an off-white head. Nutty aroma, overripe fruit and booze. Solid body, lots of overripe fruit, molasses and nuts. Heavy alcohol in the finish, but smooth, warming and pleasant. 180611 Ungstrup (37588) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 18, 2011
Bottled. A dark amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of mlat, caramel, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, bread, and alcohol, leading to a dry, bitter, and alcoholic finish. Thanks fiulijn for sharing. travisd (4) - - FEB 18, 2012 does not count
Paid $5 from cold beer and wine. Off the pour this beer heads up almost like caramel mixed in with the tan foam. It has a nice murky red coloring to it. It has a very mild aroma to it with a touch of very ripe, or cooked banana. Not boozy just very smooth. The flavor is lightly sweet with present hops, but not overpowering at all. The taste overall is very very mild. It has a medium thick body that clears the palate fairly quickly and is rather flat as it should be.
Overall this barley wine is very smooth, and very mild in every sense, but enjoyable and a good value. MrHangover (4554) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - OCT 14, 2012
Bottle. Clear amber color. Faint aroma of some malts and booze. Flavor is complex and sweet. Very nice.
