Almost opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry, decent carbonation. One of those beers that really does what it says on the tin. Lots of dark chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Toffee is there but underneath all the other flavours. Trace of tangy fruits. Light dry finish leaves a coffee and vanilla linger. Nice fun porter, pretty tasty.

Keg at Howling Hops Tank Bar - Hackney Wick. Pours deep brown with a light, foamy tan head. Huge coffee aroma, underscored with rich chocolate and well roasted malts. Medium to big sweet flaovour with strong baking cocoa, burnt sugars, espresso, scorched earth. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Bittersweet coffee and baking cocoa in the finish, with faint toffee accents. Wow, robust character to this one. Really true coffee notes. Excellent. Very nice chocolatey vanilla cakey aroma, Anna even gets maple. Taste similar, lots of chocolate cake. Rather delicious and drinkable, if a bit sweet. A fun beer.
Bottle from Clapton Craft. It pours jet blacl with a tan head. The aroma is rich, sweet, unctuous, toffee, maltesers, loads of sweet coffee, vanilla, roasted maltage and chocolate doughnut. The taste is rich roasted malt, bitter - sweet, slick, tar, chocolate doughnut, vanilla, good hit of coffee, toffee, spicy, touch of charred wood and light alcohol with a dry finish. Full body and moderate carbonation. I did fear this was going to be too sweet given the name... but actually the balance works well. Good fun!

Keg at the Euston tap. An opaque black coloured pour with a lasting tidy creamy mid tan head. Aroma is dried chocolate, earthy hops creamy smooth coffee roast, praline, peanuts. Flavour is composed of bitter dark chocolate roast, milky smooth coffee, praline, caramel. A bitter woody roast and faint earthy hop in the finish. Palate is medium bodied, with high carbonation that stops it from being cloying, semi drying finish. There is a lot going on but it remains pretty drinkable, solid. olio (10822) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 4, 2017
33 cl bottle. BBE 12/2017.
Pours dark mahogany red-brown color with a very small off-white head. Evident coffee on the nose, caramel, roasted malt notes, faint toffee, dark chocolate, mild hops too. Flavor isn’t as sweet as one might expect, more dry roasty and malty, cocoa, super creamy mouth feel, mild coffee bitterness, slightly oaty and bready. Full-bodied, creamy, finishes dry and bitter. Quite nice.
