[ As Howling Hops English Light Ale ].
Clear medium orange color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, grass, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, fruity, grass, spicy hops. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20141205]

Half, cask ale at the Cock Tavern. Good lacing to the upper part of the mug. Tiny layer at the top of clear golden body. Aroma of lemony hops and earthy malts. Mild jam-like taste of apricot, orange and grainy malts. Nice dry bitter citrus peels to the ending. Easy to drink and to like (Hackney London 13.07.2014).

Gravity dispense at Pigs Ear 13, 03/12/13. Clear golden with a moderate off white head. Nose is light tropical fruits, earthy hops, orange, touch of caramel. Taste comprises bread dough, biscuit malt, orange pith, light earthy hop presence, mineral bite. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, tangy fruit bitterness in the finale. Ok stuff.

Cask @ The Cock Tavern. Light gold pour with a small head. The nose is light lemon drizzle cake, a bit of unwashed armpit. The taste is sweet peach, summer fruit salad. Apricot and honeyed pears. Light citrus bite on the finish. Pleasant, easy drinking stuff. A nice golden.

Cask at the Cock Tavern, London. Pours clear, light gold with a fine, white foam head. Nice toasted straw aroma, some grain and pale malts. Light to medium sweet flavor, toasted grain and hay, light leaves, ripe orange. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dry, toasted grass bitter finish, further grains, pale malts, mellow leaves. Clean and dry. Pretty good.
