September 13, 2017 - at Southampton Arms - handpull cask. Hazy deep reddish-amber with a smallish frothy beige head (4-). A little sweet and floral malt up front quickly dominated by varying (citrus, zest, pine) pungent fresh hop bitterness - oh yes, this is how you do a red ale! Taste doesn't disappoint - just a lot more floral, and heavy malt body, quite peachy/blood orange. Average body, airy and quick-finishing; a little sticky/fruity in the aftertaste, yes pungently floral and zesty - man this was a pleasant pint! madmitch76 (27181) - , Essex, ENGLAND - DEC 23, 2017

Light haze on this deep amber beer, good cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Fluffy malts, mildly sweet, thin and tangy caramel. Mild pine into ripe orange peel and marmalade. Trace of hop skunk. Whisper of red berries. Light crisp finish. Nice enough but lacks something to make it shine.
Cask at Cock Tavern, Hackney. Caramel and grain aroma. Ruby tinged amber. Very thin off-white head. Light caramel.sweetneds mixed with a light bitterness. A vinous finish. The latter peaks into the finish. Medium bodied. Slick, almost sticky. Long finish. Decent. Enjoyable. jooilakon (380) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 12, 2017
Bottle 330 ml from Howling Hops tank room in Hackney Wick. Fruity aromas with notes of caramel. Pours hazy brown body with small eggwhite head. Taste is smooth bitter with fruity notes and caramel. Very pleasant taste that reminds me a lot of Fuller’s ESB. Great choice for a cold autumn day. Finn (8690) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUN 1, 2017

Pours as the name suggests a ruby red colour with a thick off white head. The smell of the hops is instantley apparant. The taste is hop forward with a mild fruity citrus background. The body, for the style, is thick and rich, almost velvety with a high carbonation. Overall, this is excellent, it tastes great and looks lush when poured into a glass. Cask at the Cock. Chocolate, red fruit and resin on the nose, lightly spicy with lots of warming fruit and alcohol, perhaps a tad over-sweet in the finish.
