Pours as the name suggests a ruby red colour with a thick off white head. The smell of the hops is instantley apparant. The taste is hop forward with a mild fruity citrus background. The body, for the style, is thick and rich, almost velvety with a high carbonation. Overall, this is excellent, it tastes great and looks lush when poured into a glass.

Cask at the Cock. Chocolate, red fruit and resin on the nose, lightly spicy with lots of warming fruit and alcohol, perhaps a tad over-sweet in the finish.

Bottled 330ml (AbM)
Amber color, huge off-white head, lace. Semi-gushing even. Aroma is dryish with crystal malty berryish aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Caramel, a bit berryish. Some grapefruity citrus hops lurking in the background. Too much crystal malts for my liking, some hops but could use a bit more. Bottle maybe also a bit overcarbonated although not infected or anything like that.

Love a red that is hopped like an IPA - like 5am Saint. Thats what you get here - great fruity bitterness from the hops - mango, peach, grapefruit - adding freshness to the sweet caramel biscuity malt. Great beer.

330ml bottle from Valhallas Goat. Muddy brown massive foamy head, some sediment. Fruity hop aroma. Toasted caramel malt flavour. Bitter aftertaste. Even 3 months after its best before date still very good.
