5.6% Bottle as a Christmas gift from Pix. Pours deep brown, almost black with a thin cream head. The aroma is pleasingly smoky with chocolate notes. The taste is smoke and light spice with chocolate. Quite thin and highly carbonated, but otherwise very decent. Svesse (9135) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JAN 17, 2016

Draught at the tank room. Medium caramel brown coloured pour with a lasting loose light tan head. Aroma is light phenolic smoke, TCP, nutty brown malts, light brown sugars. Flavour is composed of nutty grains, nice smoked malt, little peat malt. Slightly medicinal. Palate is medium light, highish carbonation. OK smoked. Draught at the Howling Hops Tank joint. It pours slightly hazy deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is bitter-sweet, smoked meat, sweet roast, slight stickiness and light caramel. The taste is smooth, bitter-sweet, earthy roast, smooth smoke, smoked ham, coffee, light spice and dull cocoa with a short dryish finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent enough. At the Howling Hops Tank. A slightly thin brown colour with reddish depths. Very powerful smoke, smoked Eastern European pork product. Much lower carbonation than the other beers on that evening. Lacking in non-smoke malt or hop bitterness. A bit one-dimensional, glad I didn’t have to have a full pint to be honest.
