Bottle shared with the Vuong siblings. Pours a bright, hazy with no head, but some white lacing. Aroma is sweet malts and light citrus. Mouthfeel is smooth with notes of caramel malts and light fruit. Ehhh.

AgentAle (1755) - Alberta, CANADA - APR 4, 2017
Aroma is medium sweet malts, citrus, grapefruit and earthiness. Taste is sweet malts of honey and caramel. The bitterness persists long after with some more citrus and lemongrass. Not too complex, and with these ibus , i cant say i could drink several of these in a sitting.

Appearance: clear pale amber with two fingers of rocky ivory head, excellent retention and soapy moderate lacing. (4/5) Aroma: resiny pine, caramel/toffee, mango, citrus, black tea. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate-high bitter. (7/10) Palate: medium oily body, moderate carbonation, sticky and spicy lingering bitter finish. (3/5) Despite the big oily and spicy bitter dominating the finish, the malt gives it a run for its money on the front end. It’s not malt dominant, but it is malt heavy. Kind of surprising the ABV is as low as it is, actually, given the way it punches above its weight. I’d like it better if it were brighter and dryer, or maybe just boozier. (14/20)

650ml brown bottle. Gold coloured with a tight white cap. Nose - caramel and orange rinds. Taste - orange peels, light toasty malt. Sharp hoppy finish, medium bitter, citrusy aftertaste. Not too exciting.

Bottle, shared at game night. Orange amber with an off white head. Tea-like, earthy hop character, caramel malt, fruity undertones, moderate bitterness. Lacking brightness, just ok for me.

On tap at Hoyne, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, biscuity malt, and maybe a touch of diacetyl. Flavour is cleaner, with dry piney hopping and a bone dry biscuity malt backbone. Leaves quite the astringency on the finish but in a tasteful way. Not the most flavourful, just very bitter and dry. Decent IPA.

Not a bad IPA but lacking a bit. Will say that this has a nice mango hop presence and typical hop flavoring. Not bad.

Draught @ Creekbread, Whistler Creekside BC. Clear amber, little fine white head. Very green, grassy, resinous hoppy ipa with only 6%ABV. F#cking lovely!

Golden, mushroomy aroma, fuggley? (not getting any modern hops here). Soft. Earthy moderate bitterness. Mid-90s IPA. Balanced, light biscuity and a touch caramelly.

houblonchien (89) - CANADA - APR 22, 2014
Amber in the glass with haze. Citrus on the nose. Nice bitter finish with a touch of chocolate and coffee. Nice head and lacing. Good balance of malt, yeast and alcohol. Well made.
