   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 15/20
Plovmand (8616) - Grindsted, - JAN 17, 2013
Bottle at home. Pours deep amber with a creamy off white head. The aroma is loads of sweet fruits and malt. Marzipan, nuts, sweet raisins and some sweet wine. The flavour is spicy and sweet malty with notes of dried fruit. Quite sweet and reminds me of a quadruble and not a barley wine. Quite high carbonation for the style.

Denne barleywine har et grumset rød-brunligt udseende med et medium hvidt skum. Øllen har en maltet aroma og smager sødt af karamel. Medium karbonering.

DerGantzel (445) - Aarhus, DENMARK - JUL 9, 2017
Aroma of malt and caramel. Dark red appearance without much foam. Medium sweetness and light medium bitterness. A dry bitter finish, ethanol is present in the taste. Not a really good barley wine.

Bottle courtesy of Doodler (thanks Scott!) poured a clear reddish amber with a large lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, toffee, tobacco, dried fruit and light spice. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of toffee, dried fruit, light tobacco and light spice with a smooth lingering toffee finish.

Hazy dark red - brown beer. Decent pale tan head. Palate is airy and dry with fine carbonation. Creamy malt with traces of marmite and molasses. Mild minerals. A little dried fruit. Aniseed alcohol. Mild toffee. Bitterish esters. Softish semi dry finish. A bit too much like hard work.

Theis (15151) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 3, 2012
