MGantzel (272) - Aalborg, DENMARK - JUL 9, 2017
Denne porter har et sort udseende med et svagt brunt skum. Øllen har en stærk lakrids aroma og smager deraf med noter af karamel og blommer. Svag bitter afrunding. Lav karbonering.

Aroma of roasted malt and chocolate with fruity notes. Black with a brown head. Medium high sweetness and increasing to medium bitterness. Average carbonation and medium body. A fine porter!

MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JAN 9, 2015
Bottle, 8%. Roasted aroma, hint of cream and fruit, coffee and vanilla. Black colour. Small stable creamy dark brown head. The flavour has a lot of coffee and not so much plum or rum. A little sweetness could be attributed to the plums, I guess. Long coffee aftertaste.

Very dark brown with tan head. Roasted aroma, dried fruit and hints of brown sugar. Flavour has fruity roast with very light, slight sour notes. Chocolate and alcohol comes through later. Nice.

Bottle, 8% @ Vinterslaget på Østersøen, Sønderborg. Pours cloudy very dark brown with greyish tan head. Dark aroma of coffee and caramel malt, with notes of yeats and liquorice. Bitter, roasty flavour with sweet notes of caramel malt and bitter touches of chocolate and liquorice. Sourish notes of fruit - sour plums? Bitter-sourish aftertaste with bitter notes. Decent.

Flaske 0,5l. Spandert av Rune under hyggelig treff i WCveien 11 Jan 14. Svart. Høyt mokkafarget luftig skum med litt lacing. God syrlig kaffearoma. Behagelig smak av kaffe & sjokolade. Ettersmaken har et visst lakrispreg.

Rune (12831) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JAN 13, 2014
500ml bottle, 8.0 % abv, bought at Magasin du Nord in Copenhagen. Shared back home with friends. Slightly unclear dark brown body. Persistent, low tan-coloured head. Nice lacework. Earthy malts on the nose with mid-sweet chocolate. Fine blended taste of vanilla sweetness, plums and coffee followed by dark fruits towards the ending, added by a little roastiness. Smooth in the mouth. Mostly hidden alcohol. Very pleasing porter (Tromsø 11.01.2014).
