(bottle, 33cl) Stout-like appearance: dark brown, almost black coloured hue with a brown and thick foamy head. Earthy, mildly roasted malty aroma with notes of dark chocolate, mocha, leaves and mildly herbal and minty hops. Moderately sweet and mildly roasty bitter flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Earthy and slightly roasted malt character with notes of chocolate, subtle fruity notes of dark berries, leading into a mildly roast-malty, leafy and slightly chocolatey finish with muted alcoholic notes. Nice hybrid. 25.I.1 HighH2O (69) - - JAN 14, 2017
Way too fizzy upon opening, foam floated immediately after opening, pour 2 ounces in a glass and the entire glass filled with a dark rich foam. However, once past that drama the bier is excellent! Sort of a hoppy stout with coffee. Too bad I only had one one .33l on hand. Recommended for dark beer lovers.

330 ml bottle. Pours black with a huge light brown head. The aroma is dominated by the roasted malt - coffee, some caramel. Medium to full oily body with a carbonation that is a little too fizzy. The taste is lightly sweet, medium bitter and very lightly acidic. The flavor is again full of roasted malts - some caramel, light coffee and hints of black berries. Personally, I would label it as some kind of stout instead as Dunkler Bock.
