great caramel vanilla taste, very creamy character to it, very pleasant beer, a little sweet but not over powering nuplastikk (6456) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - APR 19, 2011
12oz bottle. Amber-orange, somewhat murky. Head fades out quickly, leaving a thin oily residue. Mild vanilla laced malt aroma. As with most Hub City offerings, the carbonation and mouthfeel is off, making me think the bottling set up is sub-par. This is actually a really easy going Cream Ale, maybe a little darker than I associate with the style. Vanilla smooths out an already straightforward beer. A great dessert beer. Pours a medium brown color with a fast diminishing head. Some scents of roasted malts are evident giving it an almost smoked type of scent. Drinks slightly lighter than a milk stout. You can definitely tell this is a cream ale. The flavor could be a little more bold and the texture could be a little thicker. Definitely something different though.

Pours a cloudy brown color. Kind of looks like apple cider. Thin head that disappears quickly. Scent is of mild vanilla. Taste consists of strong vanilla and little else. A little nutty. Lasting vanilla finish. Decent beer but it does taste like the vanilla is used to cover up the taste of cheap beer. Scipio (1219) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - JAN 19, 2012
Appearance is nothing very special. This has a strong vanilla aroma. And as the smell is powerful, the vanilla taste is even more overpowering. Altogether its pretty good, but a beer such as is difficult to have more than 1 or 2 in one sitting.

Definitely creamy. Vanilla wafers hits the ol nose. Just ok. Missing something................ shrubber85 (11618) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUL 8, 2011
Bottle. Light vanilla and lactic malt aroma. Clear amber color with small head. Strong vanilla and light creamy malt flavor. Medium body. Decent tasting beer but seems more like a cream soda instead of a cream ale. Trev (2023) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - JAN 14, 2010
copper pour with minimal head.
Aroma is minimal, light biscuit and caramel maltiness, hint of vanilla and very low hop.
Flavour is toasted caramel, pretty sweet off the get go. Some light vanilla in the finish.

Bottle poured a clear amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, fruittiness and spice. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, light fruittiness and a hint of spice with a smooth finish. heemer77 (5360) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - NOV 26, 2010
Deep copper brown with just a trace of white head. The nose has sweet caramel and walnuts. The taste is very sweet with walnuts and toffee. There was also some light pear. Sweet and decent.
