Huber beer has been brewed the same way for over a century. Huber is a clean-tasting, thirst-quenching beer, with a mild, malty aroma. It has a slightly mellow flavor, pleasant aftertaste, and is lightly hopped to do down smooth.

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 4/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 6/20

33cl bottle. Pours golden with a thin head and slight carbonation. The nose has butterscotch and pale malt - not much sign of hops. The taste has more of the same and still no hops and instead there’s a cardboard note. The palate is light to medium bodied with no middle and a disappointing head. Overall, as Blackadder said of Baldrick’s poem, ’’it didn’t start too well, it had a dodgey bit in the middle and it tailed off at the end’’.

Klar smag, let humlet. Ikke så meget smag, mangler helt klart noget mere malt i smagen.

From old tasting notes. Clear bright gold color. Creamy white head. Grainy malt aroma. Insipid light malt flavor with little else to offer.

150616. This is one of those beers that is an unexpected find, not that it means that it is a good beer. I found this at the Spotted Cow Hotel in Toowoomba and this is the only place that I have seen it before or since. This is certainly not a standout beer but as far as premium lagers go it is not that bad and I have certainly drank a lot worse (think XXXX). In the glass the beer is a solid enough amber colour and carries a very small head . Thin bodied in the mouth but not as watery as I was expecting and certainly not undrinkable. Aromas and flavours of dirty wet straw with a slightly soapy aftertaste. There is nothing really about this beer that makes it a standout from all of the other lagers going around.

33cl bottle from home bargains. Thin white head. Clear golden pour. Thin watery chemical aftertaste. Crap but cheap

330ml bottle. Barely clear, golden colour with small, frothy, rapidly diminishing, white head. Grainy aroma, spelt, straw, roasted barley, a sour-ish, grassy hoppy touch. Taste is slightly sweet grainy, biscuity, a touch of caramel, some malt spiciness; one-dimensional, slightly watery.

Hazy yellow. Aroma is a bit yeasty and sour. Flavour is also quite tart. Possibly a bad bottle

Apparently the USA’s second oldest brewer (according to the label). Sweet and cordial like over a low carbonation pale look. Some grainy falvour is only just discernable.

Bottle golden yellow with white head. Grainy aroma sweet malty taste and something like sweet corn taste. Not especially nice
