500ml can (from Kalea beer advent calendar). Pours a light amber.... Very clear, minimal head. Smell is bubblegum, banana and the usual wheat beer aromas, albeit with a bit of sourness. Taste is as expected with a standard wheat beer. What has let it down though is the aluminium/tin taste. It's quite sharp and relatively noticeable with every sip. If I had this in a bottle I can imagine this being a bog standard (in a good way) wheat beer. Shame the can has caused that flavour problem, otherwise it would have been the best in the calendar.

Shared the can from the Kalea Advent calendar with my family during Super Bowl LII, was an instant hit and definitely ranks as one of the best I've had from the calendar so far! Poured a completely clear gold color, surprising since I assumed that this weizenbier would have had at least some haze to it. The aroma however clearly reveals that this is a wheat style, with plentiful banana and clove Belgian yeast esters, candi sugar, and sweet wheat. Flavor follows as a deliciously straightforward mix of yeast, ester, and wheat, with no apparent off flavors. The mouthfeel is light-bodied with a round smoothness, quite drinkable. Not overly sophisticated but well-done, one of those beers that pleases both refined and more casual palates. Would buy this if I ever saw it available independently here in the USA!

500ml bottle (thanks Viil). Hazy dull golden color. Small size, white head, stays. Papery, banana, wheaty in aroma. Papery, acetone, banana, wheaty in taste. Papery, wheaty and acetone in aftertaste. Bit weird side taste. Drinkable brew.

Can from the advent box. Nose is moderate banana and vanilla. A slight citrus character as well. Some clove as it warms. Taste shows off all those elements, mainly a smooth vanilla and creamed wheat sensation followed by a light clove finish. Decent

16 ounce can thanks to Santa. Pours a clear yellow orange color with a medium white head. A soft yeasty nose. Banana esters, toast, mild citrus. Solid.

Beer #13 from Kalea advent Calendar. Pours a hazy blonde colour. Aroma is slightly stale. Taste is of bananas and bubblegum. Fairly average weiss bier

Can. Day 14 of the CostCo Advent Calendar. Pours hazed golden orange with a white head. Mild fruity yeast, some banana and faint lemon, a wheaty base, and a clean yeasty finish. Pretty good.

Can from the Costco advent calendar. Colour...clear gold with a thin head. Nose... quite a bit of the butyl ester banana aromas and of course clove, with some biscuit as well. Palate...a slight tang to open and then more of the typical banana and cloce that goes with a German Weiss bier. The palate is mostly clean but offers some bready notes on the back palate and a fairly long finish. No metal that I could detect with this advent calendar beer.

Can from Advent. A: Cloudy with a wisp white head. Light lacing. N: Clove, banana, cracker, peppercorn, some sulfur, minerals. Touch of green grape. T: Sweet with coriander, clove, and banana. Light hopping to add some balance. M: Light body, no alcohol, soft carbonation. O: Solid Hefe. Good yeast profile.
