ogivlado (7955) - Zagreb, CROATIA - DEC 8, 2005
Bottled(500ml). -this is one of the better bock that I’ve tried, clear golden coloured, minimal white head, malty nose, fizzy, sweet malty aroma with nice alcohol touches, slightly alcohol finish

Oik! Love this label. K, just took a sneak taste and this is pretty unique and cool with some interesting depth. Clear yellow gold brew - a wimpy colour for sure, small white cap that vanishes. The aroma is dry and grassy. The fruit side is interesting - almost convinced me of a faint tropical thing but lime seems to pop up. Maybe blueberry now - I’m all over the place with fruit thing. The taste is very very good with some serious back end bite. Early hops roll with the musky grass that comes in slo-mo waves, the hops and spice and bite are still a finishing surprise. Pepper and bewildering harshness that fits in somehow. It’s got some thickness to it. I dig it but I think after about 2L I would be fed up....

Pours a clear yellow with small white head that completely disappears quickly. Aromas of grass, fruity and maltiness. Tastes of some grassy bitterness and sweet malt. Great balance and great flavour.

Reimer96 (1743) - Alberta, CANADA - DEC 8, 2012
Pours a clear golden color with very lite head or lace. The color of this beer throws me off as the aroma and taste is more than you think from the color. Aroma is a malty tangerine with a hi t of grass. Taste is sweet grains a d a hint of fruit up front with a smooth grassy bitterness on the finish. We balanced for a 7.5% beer.

presario (4916) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 8, 2012
Dec 8 CBAC. Gold with decent carbonation but no head. Working on the Christmas list for the kids. Dark tangerine scent with a trace of alcohol. Very drinkable and smooth. Dark tangerine flavour, light sweetness, hint of woodiness and a bit of alcohol in the finish.

pintbypint (3769) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 9, 2012
330ml green bottle from Craft Beer Advent Calendar. Light golden coloured brew with some light haze. Head is short lasting, fades out completely, no signs of lacing anywhere. Nose has white bread, grain, some caramel sweetness and trace of alcohol. Taste has grains, bready malt, faint toast notes, trace of grassy hops. Aftertaste is bready, grainy, light alcohol and some hay notes. Medium bodied, carbonation is on the light side. Overall - the beer tastes decent and has the typical grain and grass notes I would expect to find in a heller, ok alcohol notes. A bit disappointed in the carbonation level and the appearance also suffers because of it.

Quack-Duck (9490) - Down South, GERMANY - MAY 3, 2014
bottle from Meinl am Graben, Vídeň. Clear golden colour, mid-sized white head. Floral hop aroma. Full-bodied, malty and slightly sweet with a warming touch of alcohol. Lingering hoppy finish, floral and grassy.

DuffMan (10610) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 9, 2012
Bottle, Dec 8th Beer Advent Calendar. Bright yellow gold, slightly hazy, average white cap. Light popcorn cereal malts and a light green grape sweet fruit note. Finishes dry and clean. Refreshing, which I cannot usually say about heller bocks in general.

markas101 (2489) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - FEB 25, 2006
50cl bottle, Vienna, Austira. Very sweet caramel smell, Full bodied, slightly creamy, very sweet taste, average carbonation. Not overly acloholic tasting for such a strong (7%) but there are better bocks out there.

reebtogi (6350) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 26, 2012
330ml bottle pours a golden color with a small white head that leaves only a few specks of lacing on the glass. Aroma is grainy and grassy. Taste is a grainy malty sweetness with a grassy hop bitterness. Medium body with moderate carbonation. I would have to say that this brew is below average for the style. Not recommended.
