Really quite excellent, this has tons of hops throughout and a nice red color, the only real complaint about this beer is,that ismfairlymsweet and sugary. Still, pretty nice. halfonit (1398) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 6, 2016
Served in a snifter. Pours a clear deep golden amber color with an off white head. Aroma is of hops, earthiness, bread, grass, a little booze, and some malt. Great smelling brew! Heavy and carbonated palate. Flavor is of fresh earthy hoppy goodness. Some dough and oak is also present. A little heat from the higher abv. Leaves an earthy hop finish. Great beer!!! neepsntatties (2041) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 17, 2013
Bottle. Colour...deeply cloudy amber with a massively thick ecru head. Nose... massive amounts of dried citrus fruits and candied rinds with the focus on grapefruit, kumquat and citron. Palate...thick, chewy and big! The alcohol is quite evident but does not overpower as the orchard fruits, Turkish delight, sugar sirop and earthy grapefruit take the stage and dominate the palate. This is a solidly fabulous double IPA! mikedR (1561) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - NOV 28, 2013
Very nice; incredibly drinkable. Unusual characteristic here is the sweetness -- not a lot, but quite a bit for the style. Mellows out the entire brew, and makes it smooth. A-

went to get my growler filled with Odell Myrcenary at Whole Foods and the ’tender gave me a taste of this and a taste of Myrcenary. I bought the 500 BC... really nicely balanced malt and stone fruit hops.
Reminds me of Firestone Walker Double Jack
