COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boasting a ruby hue and an exquisite floral aroma, Red Nectar is a robust yet elegant brew with distinctive accents of toasted malt, caramel, spice and residual sweetness. The beer that started it all Red Nectar was considered a strange bird when it was first released in 1987. After all, where did a robust, handcrafted all-natural amber ale fit into the massive flock of American industrial lagers? Answer: it didnt. So it blazed its own trail, helping set the pace for the craft brew revolution. Enjoy Red Nectar for its dazzling reddish copper hue, original flavors and caramel spice accents. (Editors Note: originally brewed by Humboldt Brewing Company as "Humboldt Red Nectar Ale" until their acquisition by Firestone Walker.)

Very malty, too much so, with a sweetness that doesn't pair well. It's too simple, like that damned car stereo you had that didn't even have the basic bass and treble knobs...but a single tone knob instead. Yeah, it's like that. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear brilliant Amber under a thick fluffy ivory head. Mellow biscuity Amber aroma. Bright copper and toffee malt flavor with a mild earthy bitterness and a little toasted bread crust. Average but tasty.

Quite interesting. A little strong abut fine to drink and it is a little thick too. Had it without cooling it too much.

Nice enough for a low ABV red. Very mild malt aroma. Lightly sweet with the malts. Even brown red color. Taste is light, a bit watery in palate. Tiny touch of hops. Bottle

Out of the bottle has a nice pleasant sweet smell, some caramel and light spice. Taste is super balanced, not too sweet and lingers with a nice dryness to it. Tastes like an OG amber

Good run of very decent beers going. This one too. Red Amber, clear moderate carbonation. Toasted malts moving to a lemony hop profile, but smooth. Hits the spot between a brown and a pale nicely. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
